| Soaking wet tips
Anyone got tips for when you get off water rides on how to get dry quick. I usually wear quick dry shorts and light shirts to parks anyway but does anyone have a method for walking around the park after a particularly drenching water ride without looking like an idiot. Keep in mind I don't like carrying around bags.

If I know I'm going to go on water rides at a park I usually wear minimal clothing. Dry skin dries faster than wet clothing. Not only that, but I usualy wear nylon shorts, like the ones that abercrombie (or wherever) make. They dry in like two seconds in the sun.

Never wear denim (shorts or jeans) and wear short sleeve cotton tees. The idea of wearing nylon shorts is the best.

walk around in the sun for a bit, and when you queue for the next ride, position yourself while queuing in the sun, and also if you sit on the railing you dry quicker on your butt

If I plan on going on water rides, I'll carry a grocery bag in my pocket -- I understand you don't like carrying bags, neither do I -- but this wads up and you don't even notice. Then, just while on the ride, in go the shoes and socks. To dry off afterwards, I will try to go on a ride that involves a lot of open air -- the best would be like the Waveswinger at Cedar Point, right in the middle of all three water rides. That way, you really get a "blow dry" effect. It won't get you totally dry, but it really does work a lot. As for fabrics, everyone's got that right - most especially, don't wear denim! Yeesh.

LOL. I just dont go on the water rides. But if I do, I just ring out my clothes and put them back on. It keeps you cool on the really hot days.

Heh, Melissa, my son and I call Wave Swinger at CP "Spin Dry" because it's the best way to dry off after the water rides at CP. If I think I'm going to hit water rides, I wear a bathing suit with fast drying nylon shorts. I throw a light weight t-shirt over the bathing suit and take it off and stuff it and my shoes/socks into a locker before the ride, although I think the plastic bag idea is a great one. I almost ALWAYS bring a change of clothes to any park regardless. (it's a "mom" thing)

just go on a rollercoaster(a fast one) then when you get off you will probably be pretty dry.
