Many of you kids are way too shallow. All you want is a thrill, regardless of how it looks or how it's set up Remember that the Top Spin is a small part of a sequence of events that we know nothing about. Heck, we don't even know what the Top Spin does. Obviously it's going to have a specific program and it will interact with the room a LOT. If you want to look at TRTR as "just a Top Spin", then JPRA at Universal is just a shoot-the-chutes, Splash Mountain is just a log flume, etc. All of these rides may not be much in an unthemed environment, but they are 100x better in a themed world. |

Has anyone even actually ridden this yet? It looks like a top spin but it might not be, seems like it is now for sure though. You apparently do get wet from the lava because there is a sign that says "You May Get Wet." There is a height limit of 54 inches and a capacity of 77 riders per ride. Is it a top spin or another type of flat ride and from what company? Are there more than one? How exactly does this change the thrillride industry and why did it take so long to develop? How many times do you go-upside down? I've heard you go upside down many times and even stay upside down for several seconds at times. Sounds cool. I can't wait to ride it. I am a little disappointed that it is just a flat ride, but the theming looks like it's half the fun. Below is an on-ride photo. Below that is the restraint system at the entrance. http://www.pkiguide.com/news/040302/18.jpg http://www.pkiguide.com/news/040302/8.jpg

I just got back from the preview party and yes it is just a top spin in a box. the ride was having technical diffuculties all night and was shut down early but the people that was in line at the time they let ride after being fixed. I have been waiting since july and i was very dissapointed. The theeming before the ride was good but the on ride theeming was not much to brag about. the lava(water) down below was not even red. The ride time was even shorter than regular top spins, maybe because of the diffuculties but i dont know. Just about everybody that was getting off didnt seem very impresed at all. Kings island sure knows how to hipe up a ride but maybe it is about time they learn how to build one.

I also heard from other reviews that people were applauding and cheering after the ride and getting back in line for rerides. This was earlier in the day.
