Exclamation Some Flatride Ideas

I've been creating some of my own flatride designs for about a year now, but now I'm ready to present my best ideas to the forum. I did have about 5 ideas, but one of them required too many moving parts and the 3rd still needs work. But here are three of my best designs:

Super Volt

This ride would be set up similar to a Huss Booster (http://www.wy-design.de/amrdata/ra_t...r/booster.html). With the only exception being a major hydraulic lifting arm (similar to a Huss Enterprise) tilting the ride platform to 60*

Enigma

This is a little more original design. The ride would be similar to a Tivoli TechnoPower (http://www.wy-design.de/amrdata/ra_t...er/technopower) except that the seats would start facing outward, instead of forward. After passengers load the seats, they would be (manually or mechanically) put into the "flying position" on their backs, their heads towards the middle of the minor spinning axels. The ride rotations & operation would be the same, the only exception being that once the ride is in 'full swing', a hydraulic lifting arm similar to a Huss Enterprise would tilt the ride to 60*

Power Trip

This ride is almost like a traveling version of the S&S SWAT. Only smaller. The arms would be replaced by one single tube with smaller tubes extending from the ends (8 on each end, 8 to the left & 8 to the right.) The ride would lift up and rotate the same way as a SWAT would except that the seats would slowly 'barrel roll' around the tube while the main arm would originally rotate.

That's it for my designs. I know it's a little hard to understand in writing. I'll try to get some pictures up if I can. Please comment!

The super volt idea would be quite boring, given that on a Huss Booster, the flips are caused by the lateral forces, and a 60* tilt would neuter those forces.

For the enigma, 2 words- lethal Gs.

The power trip would be waaay too much, anyone who's ever been on SWAT can tell you that if that thing was any more intense an average person wouldn't be able to walk off.

I like the ideas. The Super Volt idea really appeals to me. The flipping would be intense! But fun. I like Enigma, very creative. However, it seems a little much. Slow it down! Power Trip seems very kewl. Thoughts on Power Trip: slow down the main arm and spin the whole thing, then dangle the rider's legs.

i had an idea for an inverting swinging ship where riders face outwards, it spins roung fast but there is also anouther arm with a sharp looking "axe head" on it which swings sepreatley and gives the cringing feeling when it swings past the gondola with about half a meter clearance

Half a meter would not be enough-the law is roughly 9 feet.

The names "Super Volt" and "Power Trip" are cool. The descriptions are beyond my comprehension though.

re:Rides

Ok. I made some funny little pics with Paint.

The interstinng thing about Enigma is that the riders would be completely upside down on either side of the ride (due to the angle) and would be 'half way' upside down at the very top.

Note on Power Trip: The rotation would be slower than SWAT (mainly because it's smaller) and the extra "barrel roll" rotation would be very slow. It would take about 3 "flips" of the main arm for the seats to complete one "barrel roll".

...And yes, your feet would dangle

Enigma looks very cool. Powertrip looks good. I couldn't figure out Thunderbolt from the pictures.

With some time.. I could probably come up with some working blue prints of these... Do you think I could sell them to Huss maybe?

Are sure you can just sell your ideas to a major company? I bet they wouldn't ahve anything to do with you. Until they call you i won't believe it.Some of your ideas are cool.

Me neither. I doubt the major corporations would give you credit for it, or even take your ideas into consideration.
