It is scary waiting in line for a ride when the que goes over a little pond (like Mantis) and you can see all the little fish in the water. Fish just gross me out!

I gotta bring this back up. I was just looking at some pictures of High Roller. That looks freaking insane to get on. http://www.rcdb.com/ig141.htm?picture=8
Some one can just litterally jump off if they want. That white/grey bar doesn't look like it could do the trick of holding some one back. It just looks scary.

^^ I know!! If anyone accidentally tripped, it'd be good night to them. The worst would be is if you had loaded on at the very back and to the left, meaning you've got ages to walk on that thin boardwalk to get out of the ride.

All Waterslides are pretty freaky. That trecherous hike up the stairs with the giant gaps in between each step and there's always about 2 billion people on there, so you always think its gonna tip over or you'll somehow fall off the supports.

Water boat rides are also a bit freaky, as someone else said...especially with the rotating platforms. You've gotta basically run and dive into the boat to make sure you get a seat and that you dont load on when its just leaving the station.

The scariest thing i ever saw was in 2000. I can't remeber which park it was but one of the park in ohio did not have safety gates. I thought that was kinda odd.

If anyone know which park it was....

lol garfields nightmare that is too funny. Even if the boat could tip the water is only like 2 feet deep if that lol

Getting onto High Roller would be pretty freaky. It would definately add to the ride though.

^It's not as bad as you'd think. Even if you fell out of the car to the left, you'd simply hit another piece of High Roller track, or you'd simply fall all 18 feet to the main deck with Insanity and X-Scream.

Floorless coasters make me nervous. I've only been on Medusa, but everytime, I fear that the floor will drop down while I'm still on it, and my foot will get stuck in the track.

I am always scared getting on the sky rides. They never stop moving. I always was nervous of what would happen if you didnt get on it in time.

Gully Washer because of the table. Incase you don't know, Gully Washer is a Rapids Ride, I'm sure you've all been on one before, where the table turns as rafts come in and you have to load while its moving.
I know what you mean..I have ridden the Roman Rapids at Busch Gardens in Willaimsburg and it kind of hard to grab the boat and get in while the revolving platform is moving your feet..and plus the platform rotating while I am trying to walk straight to the boat kinda makes me dizzy..

I have to admit, that does look pretty scary. Don't like the idea of boarding a coaster 900 feet above the ground.

Might have been Cedar Point. Some of their coasters didn't have the gates and over the last few years, some of the coasters that didn't have them have been gettiing them installed. I want to say that Gemini didn't have them not too long ago.

The only coasters loading that even makes me think anything even remotely scary is impulse coasters. Once in a while, I think to myself what would happen if it launched just as we entered the station and are standing in front of the train. Although I doubt that could happen. I'm sure there is some sort of precaution that doesn't allow the train to launch if the restraits are up or something along those lines. But that's just one of my quirky unnecessary fears.

A scary harness for me and I won't ride it again is a coaster like Face Off and I think Superman is one Now I could be wrong. I mean any coaster where you go up and then are reversed and pulled upwards backwards to be launched where you are laying forward on the harness where it, not gravity is holding you in. I can't do it too scary.

LOL Leeloo I use to ski growing up in Ct. I rode the chairlift many times. I like heights. What's not fun for me is getting off the lift. I was on a four seat lift about six years ago at Perfect North in Indiana. The guy next to me lost his ski half way up. I already hate getting off the darn lifts so I was not looking forward to this exit. We stood up to get off the guy fell and it was a domino effect with the lift operator cussing us out because he had to stop it. My friend who was the only one out of the four who did not get wiped out litteraly dragged me so they could restart the lift. Also I was at Compounce four years ago. The lift broke down I was on it for 45 minutes. I love the view but it was 102 degrees that day.

you know i'm only kidding

I think the scariest loading will be Talon this season cause it'll only be slnewbus locking me in.

I hope to god that I will live after a ride on that thing in May.

^you definitely are kidding. lol. I dont care for the loading on impulses, cause your legs fly back into the bar and that hurts.

^what?

I can't believe this thread is still here!

I'd actually have to change my mind with Shockwave. I would say Cliffhanger (or basically any top spin) 'cause I keep saying to myself that the ride will start rocking or start up.

Drop Zone at PKI is pretty scary b/c it takes forever for the carrier thing to come down and pick up the car. Plus it takes a long time for people to load. Mantis at CP is pretty scarry b/c they make it seem so serious about standing up when they lock the harness or w/e. I was scared that i wasn't standing up high enough so i even asked an op if i was ok. lol...

I know Wicked Twister (and I'm almost positive all impulses too) have an invisible laser barrier. If anything crosses it while the ride is montion e-stop is automatically enabled. Next time you're in the station for an impluse look for the tall thin red things hanging on the walls and you'll see it.
Plus most coasters, and rides, cant start until all restraints are locked.

I went on Steel Venom at VF when I was like 56" and I couldn't get up into the car. I dont know if it is like that on Wicked Twister or not.

The other thing that scares the bjeepers out of me is not the ride action such as whirling or up and down. On Flight Commander on the ride everytime it flipped over and the harness is holding you in I heard a loud click click. On every flip. I know someone fell from that ride. Even though I have been a ride op and I should know better I still feel unsafe.

The scariest loadings for me is... 1. launced coaster like V2 because im always afraid it will launch to fast and you will go right off the edge!2. The tilt a whirl because you get on and some of the cars are still rolling. 3.Those swinging ships freak me out because what if your bar does not lock!

The octopus type rides at local fairs scare me because your stuck in the air while others load and they make a lot of creaking nosies

^I was going to say that as well. Also, somw ferris wheels with the two or three across seating can be because your stuck at the top, swinging, while they load in passengers.
