Scariest Loading

What ride has the scariest load maybe cause of the height of the loading or the bad history of the ride.

Mine would be Shockwave as the whole cross turns a bit during loading. Also that load PUFF that come when the restraints close. The rows are also free swinging.

I know it isn't possible for this to happen but every time I get on FoF at PKD I think about the train launching as i'm stepping into the train, same with Xcelerator.

I guess it's because the train launches directly out of the loading position, and doesn't have to move out onto a launch pad like Hypersonic or TTD.

Son of Beast has the scariest loading platform. Should the platform collapse, you have a long way down, lol.

I think MF has the scariest loading because you go up the lift hill before you leave the station.

Garfield's Nightmare (formerly Old Mill) has the scariest for me. I always think the boat will tip over...and it's come close to happening on the ride (thanks to Chip's co-workers from CP) .

loading platforms with any sort of car that tips freak me out still
but as a kid, platforms with a large gap between car and wherever I'm standing always had me imagining getting my foot stuck or falling through and how much that would *suck*

^Because once you get in the train you start going up the lift and it is so close to the station all you can see is the blue track and you can't see the top of the hill.

I think the scariest loadings are S&S space shots...in my opinion those rides freak me out the most. Whenever i get on Detonator at WOF, i always picture the guy hitting the button before i can lock my restraint down. It freaks me out...

Tomb Raider is scary because it feels like it could start going any second. And it is quite high off the ground.

Gully Washer because of the table. Incase you don't know, Gully Washer is a Rapids Ride, I'm sure you've all been on one before, where the table turns as rafts come in and you have to load while its moving.

FOF, Chiller, and V2. Anything that launches right out of the station.

I get the exact same feeling whenever I go on DDFF at IOA.

Well, those don't launch directly from the loading position. They raise up a few feet to get weighed which takes around six seconds. If your harness wasn't locked for some reason you could just jump down.

It's just the thought of when you're getting into the ride that it will launch before you get the OTSR down. Basically the exact same thing Lancelot said.

S&S Towers can't get stuck. They can but no matter what they will always come down. If something were to go wrong with a tower and it shutdown then the seats would just stop and they would slowly come down the tower, but they wont ever just freefall all the way down. I learned this when i got trained on Scream. BTW have no fear of launching before your secured on premier LIMs or S&S towers because for LIMs the panel op has to clear it with the attendents and all three have to press the buttons and the restraints all have to be secured anyways or else the train wont launch. On S&S towers, the tower weighs and fills before it launches and if you aren't in your seat while its weighing you cant ride because if u get in the seat after its done weighing itll throw its weight off and it wont launch. So... have no fear.

Actually they can hold a lot more weight than you think. And they even stay up and locked in position if the air is drained from the compressor...although the loading gates may not stay closed if the air is drained the floors stay where they are.

Scariest loading for me had to be the Big Shot on the Stratosphere, It went up like a foot before the restraints locked, it scared the **** out of me. I thought it was launching.

The scariest loading I had was on Zach's Zoomer at MiA. It was right after I got on that I realized that I didn't fit real well. My knees got jammed up kinda funky under the bar. I realized this just as it was leaving the station. I knew from that moment it would hurt......bad. That realization kinda freaked me out. Three weeks later, I still carry the bruises with me.

yeah, the wonder wheel at coney island. . .

not when you're loading but when other people are and your car is rocking back and forth and you have no idea when it will stop.
