White water landing at Cedar Point

Should cedar point get rid of White water landing to put in a new coaster?

My opinion: white water landing is a cool ride because it doesnt get you very wet but it is a water ride and it has a good drop on it. but i dont really care for how you sit in the canoes. i think that they might be able to custom fit a B&M flyer around it, but if they couldnt, then i would like to see a new coaster rather than an old water ride

It is a good family ride. I highly doubt it is going anywhere soon. Could be relocated, but I doubt that too.

There's no need to move/remove White Water Landing. The antique cars are redundant and can go to some other CF park. The Swan Boats are already gone. Wave Swinger can be moved easily. There's plenty of room for a new coaster without disturbing White Water Landing.

Just like mentioned above, it's not going anywhere. If any, CP can work around it if they want to do something that bad near there. It doesn't take up much space and is a nice ride.

How about if we enclose Snake River Falls and have Sally Corp. theme it into an awesome dark attraction.

There is no ride called Snake River Rapids. There ARE rides called Snake River Falls and Thunder Canyon.

Second, its bad enough Mill Race was taken out for Raptor, but Mill Race was nearing its end anyhow. Also, they recently took out the tunnel on WWL, but the ride is still fun, you still get a mild soaking if the boat is porportioned right.

By the way, what's this surge of removing a popular non-coaster ride for a coaster?

For a coaster i think they should get rid of it. I think Flumes are on their way out and maybe even the rapids rides as well but who knows.

Man, I hope you are wrong. Those are my favorite non coaster rides.

The water rides at cp are awesome! Why would they get rid of White Water Landing? It's a great flume ride!

Well they *did* take out a (admittedly redundant) similar ride to build raptor, right?
White Water Landing had an accident, might have upped their insurance on it a bit (not too sure on that one, but hell if car insurance works that way....) plus since then they've only been running one side of the drop which decreases its capacity. Would it be a shame? Sure. Is it impossible? well.... no.
Does anybody remember what time of the summer the removal of the trabant was announced so that people could grab "last rides"? If they're gonna remove anything for next year or the year afters construction I think we'll hear about it soon.

I also think they should replace white water landing with a roller coaster because they are runing of space to build new rides.

Just wait until you have a family of your own someday, and all the family rides that once were at CP are GONE!

Nope, WWL is still not going away. Keep wishing though. The flume ride is a theme park staple. Every park needs a good family ride.

^They will still have a good family ride if they take out wwl because we all know that TTD,MF, and Magnum are great family rides. I don't see anything good about wwl why does every park have to have a family ride?

I've said it once, I'll say it again...an enthusiass-only park wil be the downfall of the industry. Not everyone is an enthusiast. Therefore, it is NECESSARY to have rides both big and small to cater to everyone, not just a small group.

Cedar Point is not and will not run out of space anytime soon.

I agree. I wish CP would bring back more family rides. The Pirate Ride was always one of my favorites---rode that every time I went.

I'd love to have attractions like a Fun House, roller skating rink, the Whip (@ Kennywood), Rocket Ships (EBP), Noah's Arc (Kennywood), etc...all in one park.

Flume rides are something everyone can enjoy. I wouldn't like to see WWL go bye-bye in order to make room for a queue line.

Deja-vu, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about. Take a look around next time you are at the park. One dimensional enthusiasts, such as yourself, make up about .001% of CP's business. You can't tear down all of the family rides...

It's a fun ride but did they ever fix that cave that you go through? The last time I was on it was 2001.

Did you forget about the "search" function? What's with you calling people names? Don't you have respect for anyone? I guess not, since you don't even have the integrity to admit when you're wrong (i.e. "laZer").

I'd really be surprised if that happened. WWL isn't in the way, though. There's really no need to do anything like that. Besides, safety would probably be an issue too.

Thought I would dust this thread off and let us see what we all wrote about this ride over a year ago! Good-bye old friend. I will miss your sunset views by the lake on warm summer evenings!

When I first read the news story I was thinking of Snake River Falls. Now after reading this thread I realized they are taking out White Water Landing....two totally different rides. This is a decent chunk of land too....can't wait for the announcement!

I can't see how anything else can fit in Frontier town like a good old canoe ride....
