OK, When you are on a drop ride, Do you like it when you get launched up and then you just come down, or do you like it when you slowley move twards the top of the tower, and wait a sec at the top then BOOM you get launched down. I like it when you get launched down. I like it like this because it builds up your Adrenaline, and I love heights. I also Like the Launch up ones because, I like the speed, and going up fast. I think that my final vote would be for the Launched down though.

I like both types of drop rides but I like the ones that hold you at the top then drop you better.

launch down because you are being held up looking down for like a min. And then when you drop you feel like your body is being left up at the top.

I like S:TOP because it has both combined into one, but if I had to choose, I would go with the ones that launch you up. They are a lot of fun, but i also think that down launchers are fun too. I love both!

I like slowly moving uo then sitting up at the top for a few seconds. You get a nice view. Then, it just shoots you down. I love that stomach feeling.

I like the side the space shot because it's something unique from what the other drop towers offer but ultimately I love the turbo drop side the most. You just get grea anticipation from going up slowly and sitting up there for so long. On top of that, the airtime is much greater and more intense when you are thrust downwards instead of merely being released to freefall.

I hate controlled drop towers like S&S designs. They do shoot you down, which seems cool, but about a 1/2 second after the blast...it start to slow down. Pisses me off...

I like drop towers that simply let go of you (Acrophobia, Drop Zone Stunt Towers, Pitt Fall, etc.)

I like launch down better than launching up, but both are great. I think that freefall is better than launch down. It feels much more intense for some reason.

It all depends. If we are talking about any drop ride (like Intamin), the I prefer to be dropped. However, if we are talking about S&S only, then I prefer to be launched.

I was just going to mention that. I had never know what launching up was like until last Nov when i went to Disney & Universal.

I very much enjoyed launching up. It kinda scared me a bit since i had never felt it before.

The 3 times i went to CP for some reason i always skipped out on PT but not anymore.

Down.. i like going up slow and being able to look around.. and hangging around the top.. SpaceShots are lame.. i find no fun in them at all

up...im a scardy cat...so I like up launches...lol

I love launching up. You sit there for a couple of seconds being weighed and you know your fixing to launch, but you don't quite know the exact time. I love that feeling. And then when you do, your face get's pushed down and my stomach goes. Then, you get to the top and it pushed you back down and you get major air, or at least on Power Tower.

The Intamin's go up so fast that you really can't take in the view. Your too nervous. The S&S's (blast down) are great to ride, IMO also because it's like a two in one ride. It goes up slow and if it's tall you get great time for a great view (depending on the way your faced). Then you get a thrilling ride also when you go down, but on Power Tower that side didn't do my stomach for some reason. And after the first initial drop, they are just small little pounces...

I just love the thrill of getting launched up!

^launching down gives you airtime, unless you mean at the top when you slow down and begin to descend


if i had to decide i would go with a launch down. i like the airtime. i like just being dropped though. the only problem with a launch down is the ride takes a long time to go up and it makes the line long. the ideal tower ride for me would be a launch up, stop at the top, and then launch down.

I like dropping down down down, so I would pick the launch down. I don't mind the combo towers at all though. The SFNE one was really cool.

id ride a launch up before a launch down... just cuz its more acary launching down lol

I prefer the lanch down. I like hanging there on the S&S Towers and then suddenly getting shot down. To me it is more fun. Launching up is awesome too.

i like launching up way more, especially on dr. doom because you get way more air at the top especially with the hands up, i rode power tower (shoot down side) which was super boring and predictable, i got literally no air on it except for when we stopped at the top...i loved demon drop though and would love a 300 foot tall one

also at celebration city they have a ride called Accelerator (its only 80 ft tall so it kinda sucks), but it launches you up and immediately when you hit the top you are launched down...no waiting or anything, so you float all the way down

the combo tower superman power of tower at SFoT was very fun also, i did get air when i launched down, but i also got air after launching up because it lets you fall once after the launch up, then you go almost to the top and it carries the rest of the way then you drop, very cool

Being launched up is fun, but in the end gravity rules. I LOVE Intamin drop tower's like Drop Zone at PCW, I find them MUCh more exciting than an S&S drop tower. Also, the drop side on an S&S does not give as much air as an Intamin drop tower.

I like being thrust down like you are on a bullet train to heck--being sent down into the tenth level of hell.

I love being launched down. I get so nervous going up to the top real slow, it's awesome. Then that nice few seconds of anticipation before you launch is nice. I do like Superman at SFOT best cuz you get both. Can't beat that.
