| zip a dee doo dah
as you may or may not know Splash Mountain is one of my favourite water/dark rides out there, and my recent trip to Magic Kingdom has put the songs in my head, specifically zip a dee doo dah. However, the song is next to impossible to find to download, so I was wondering if anyone has the song file on their computer they would be willing to share. Also, if you have any other songs from the ride they would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

sweet, thanks coasterz. Now all I need is money so I could buy the movie off ebay. [EDIT] Nevermind, I just won the auction for a DVD copy of Song of the South now I get to see what people thought was so racist about it.RCTfan...I only had a small ammount of time so the only thing I did at Epcot was ride Mission: Space and Test Track.

You can find the entire Splash Mountain soundtrack on the Walt Disney World Official Album along with 17 other tracks. I bought it about two years ago on a visit to the park, and I still find it fun to listen to occasionally just to remind myself of the magic of Disney, and get myself pumped for the next trip. You can find it at http://mainstreetmegastore.com/pd_allnew.cfm ($36.00) or http://laughingplacestore.com/Product-3650.asp ($33.96). Please note that there are several older versions out there on Amazon and eBay as well for $25-60. This is the most recent version and the version that I own. Here is the track listing:

That was nice. I forget how catchy that tune is. I remember at Riverside they had for the kids a tape that was put together by Disney of all those Sing along song videos. I'd go home at night with that running through my head. You know you ask all the folks who worked hard to make Song Of the South is it racist you know they would be insulted. To have their work run down. That had lots of good music its a shame how things get labled.

Dude, the song that gets stuck in my head like a bad dream @ the Disney parks is "It's A Small World". How many times do you actually hear that song during the length of one boat ride, anyway? I like Splash Mountain and all its scenery before the death plummet. It's kinda sadistic, don't you think? Playing such a sweet little song like "Zippidee-doo-blah" and showing such serene scenery, then you just fall into a huge splash of water. *evil laughter* Now that's my kind of ride.

Right before the drop, the scenes get darker and show the capture of Brer Rabbit by Brer Fox. If you've seen the movie, then you'll know the significance of Brer Rabbit saying "you can do whatever you want, just please dont throw me into the brer patch!" After the drop and you're back in Brer Rabbit's home, the song starts playing. So, it's not really sadistic at all.

It was meant to be sarcastic. Of course I don't really think it's a sadistic ride. I find the one in Orlando much better than in Disneyland. The ride seemed longer and there was more to look at. But, I haven't been to Disneyland in almost 10 years, so it may have changed. And, yes, I even find myself humming to the tunes, tapping my toes or something to that effect.
