Crush and Gusher

So, me and Dave were lucky enough to head to Typhoon Lagoon a few days ago and try out the new slides. Because there was warning of severe thunderstorms the park was empty and all slides had barely any lines. But thats not the point...the point is to discuss Typhoon Lagoon's new master blaster slides.

The ride still isn't complete (theming items laying around behind slide) but my god, these are some of the best slides ever. even though the theming wasnt complete, it was still very good. The slides are in the old TropicalAmity frusit washing buliding. The structure is made to look rusted and delapidated with clever rules about how to wash fruit on the wall (riding instructions). I can't wait to see the ride with finished theming. Now, onto the slides...
Coconut Crusher is by far the best of the three slides with an amazing airtime hill near the end.
Pineapple Plunger is next on the list for speed and quick drops.
Bananna Blaster, while still really good, is third on the list.

So, anyone else been on them yet?

(tip- ride with someone else, it makes for a better ride. And do whatever you can do get good airtime)

I wish.

Sorry, but I didn't take any pictures. I didn't think carrying a digital camera around a water park would've been such a good idea. Plus, our locker was stuffed enough, a camera would never fit inside. Sorry.

I had no idea it was three separate slides! The themeing sounds brilliant... A fruit washing factory where you're the fruit! Why didn't I think of that! I never go to the waterparks in Disney World, so I doubt I'll ever see it. I wish they would've done somthing like it (But obviously not a master blaster... You get too wet) in EPCOT at the land pavilion.

I think the idea is kinda dumb with the fruit washing, I would've liked something POTC themed, with Jack Sparrow as your guide. That could've been a pretty darn good ride. I'm still hoping they build that POTC themed water park (you would know if you were a regular jim hill media reader what I'm talking about).

1900th post!

a Pirates slide wouldn't go in with the theme of Typhoon Lagoon at all. And The fruit washing facilty is one of the best and most original slide themes I've ever seen. I mean, it's really hard to theme a waterslide and give it a back story, but Disney did it, and did a really good job with it. The theme is awesome for this slide.

Yeahhh, you do know that Cedarpointzter, a Disney employee, already has a full length TR covering everything this thread has and what it lacks, so just go to Trip Reports and let this thread rot.

The difference between that post and this is that his post is a trip report, this post is for anyone who has been on the ride to post their thoughts.

You dont see all those coaster threads rotting even though people do trip reports for the parks their in.
