What are the names of the S&S powered rides like the new one going in at kennywood in 2006. give me the name and ill find them.

So really, you don't know the name because there is no name. Kennywood is leaving it up to the guests to pick the name which I think is very smart.

Hmmm well at LC tour day we were told what both parks were getting in 06 and that both would have the same name and theme.. and that the Kwood one is going to go where the wipeout is/was. (so it swings over the street i guess)

What did they say the name was? By any chance did they say it was called the Screamin' Eagle? Because if so, I guess what they are calling this version of the Screamin' Swing because the actual name is being decided by the contest. And all that information you heard was already confirmed at the ACE Event at Kennywood. Bayerns Curve is getting taken out and Wipeout is supposedly going in it's place.

ok the LC GM told us on March 5th that both parks were getting them and that they would be called "Thunder and Lightning" at Kwood its going where wipeout was and LC its going by the logride/wheel

That's lame...That guy doesn't know what he's talking about then because why would they name it that when Kennywood is having a contest for it. I don't see them naming them that when Kennywood has this contest on their website. Obviously this ride is going to be something big for the park.

actually that was an april fools joke KW played on us but they are having a contest just not today. I just went to the site and it says April Fools! lol i already got a few names i'm going to submit when the contest starts.

yeah they said it was the Screaming Eagle. And yes the Beyern Kurve is being taken out which i am mad because that was one of my FAVORITE FLAT RIDES IN THE PARK. How can they replace it with the boring wipe out. Hopefully it will be back in 2006.

Doubt it...It seems like Kennywood is trying to modernize the park a little and I bet they'll start taking out some of the rides that aren't so attracting and putting in new rides like this. I can see them taking a few more things out in the future. I also wish they'd consider using that space by Phantoms Revenge que line...They could probably put a decent sized flat ride in there.

I'm with you 100%

The Kurve was one of my favorites, though it lost alot of it's mistique when they took the horn away a few years ago.

The Wipeout is just crap. I literally hate that ride. Never a fan of those rides.
