GIANT wheel

I was recently on Intamin's web site and checking out all of the possibilities for new rides when I stumbled apon a ride that would KILL every height record (for now anyway) it's a GIANT wheel that reaches 165m or 495ft that clearly surpasses Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point and Kingda Ka at Six Flags.... here is the link to it http://www.ridetrade.com/r_products_giant.htm

When I first saw the name of this topic I was afraid we'd be bringing back that GIANT Wheel at Hershey fiasco from late last year. I would like to see one of those installed and it probably would be cool to be up that high. It probably costs a lot of money though.

That's awesome. I love Ferris Wheels. They helped me get over my fear of heights. Now I love being up in the air. But like I said, that Wheel is awesome, I would love to see that installed somewhere near where I live.

It's too bad not many parks have the funds to pay for such a big ride...Plus, small ferris wheels are enough. I don't think I'd be willing to sit on a ferris wheel for an hour. Can you imagine them having to empty all the gondolas?

This has been on their site for quite a while. It's nothing new. But it would be kinda cool to see built.

PAX a ride maker in Russia wants to make/sell a 215M tall wheel....
The site also lists one round the the 215M wheel would take 30mins at the fastest.

What if interactive rides and Intamin teamed up together and somehow combined a giant ferris wheel as well as put their frequent faller ride on the side. that would be pretty awesome.

no I think he means the coaster wheel drop on the same link listed at top
http://www.ridetrade.com/r_products_giant.htm

Coaster Wheel DropTradition combined with thrillThis is an other special version of a Giant Wheel: while the fixed gondolas remain in position, the mobile gondolas go up and down like in a freefall.

That looks really cool. I think that would really add to the ferris wheel experience.

Has there been any park that has made one of the coaster wheel rides? I think that the coaster wheel ride would be fun!

That's exactly what I was thinking. LOL. My friend feels the loss of the ride. The front of the park is so different to him now.
