S & S Thrust Air Swing

Anyone else heard of this thing? I saw some info on it (not from a website so I can't link the info) and basically it's a big swingset with pneumantic moters that get the swing going back and forth. The ride seats 20 people with 10 facing either direction and get up to 25 degrees above horizontal.

Before I go off about where I saw this info I wanted to know if anyone else had seen or heard of one of these things. If so, where?

You have a link to a pic or a thread so I can be sure we're talking about the same thing?

On a side note, it's a pity that S&S has let their site fall into such crap. It used to be so nice.

It's just a Screamin Swing, drewbie. They use pneumatic thrusts to push the swing back and fourth.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys. The Screamin' Swing is what I was talking about.

If you're wondering why I was asking, here you go:

I remember reading about this also. It would be awesome if they had one with a huge capacity.

Have they ever produced one with that many seats on it? I've only seen the 4 seaters.

If you've never been on one Drewbie it will be a blast!

Actually Kennywood doesn't have one. It actually doesn't open till next year.

Kennywood and Lake Compounce will be the first ones in the U.S. to have the 32-seat version which both open next year. The funny thing is both parks are owned by Kennywood and they passed an invert up for two of these things. They better be worth it.

Yes, but that's not what we're talking about here. We're talking about the S&S Screamin' Swing in particular, not swing rides in general.

I rode Dorney's Screamin Swing yesterday and immediately fell in love with it. When the ride took it's 4 swings at it's maximum swing, I fealt either like I was going to gracefully slide under the lap bar and flip over and out, or like I was going to do the same thing, but in reverse. It's such a rush. My second ride that day was at night. My girlfriend and I faced "backwards" so that when we swung backwards we would be facing straight down over the midway. We were so loud with our fun that the woman taking tickets actually had to do work instead of reading her book, lol.

I liked it I guess... I took 3 rides on it once at night and 2 in the day. But it just didnt hit me as being as good as I hoped.

Maybe the two vertical ones fealt like the two past vertical ones. I remember counting two past vertical ones after my first day ride when I was eating outside of Coasters. My night ride fealt like we had two extra swings in the ride program though. It could have been my head.
