Iaapa 2005

(Well. Don't know if this is the right place for it)

Well, this years IAAPA is well under way this week, but i havnt heard anything from there yet.

I have only read one thing from there, and that is on screamscape. It says that Gerstlauer has added a launched coaster to theirs coaster line up, and that there is two possible layouts on display.

Anyone knows more?

Iaapa just started this morning, I would give it a day or so to hear anything. Or you can listen to In the Loop as we are giving daily updates during Iaapa as well as Carole Sanderson (ACE Pres) will be updating us late Friday night from Atlanta.

Yep, Gerstlauer has added a new product, but I only had about 2 hours at the convention today so I didn't get the details. Zamperla also has a new flat that's a circular family ride, and Moser added a flat as well. I'll post a link to my photos and stuff later tonight.

I was planning on attending, but decided that I didn't really want to spend $175 to go on a Saturday when it was only open for a few hours.

Like I said in the other IAAPA thread, this is the first time in several years that I havn't gone. I am a bit jealous that they have a Screamin' Swing available to ride.

Some of those pictures really look great. The one where there are two inverted, two person, one behind the other, seats looks very interesting. What was that Johnny?

Thanks glad you like the photos. It was a cool show. The company is called Moser Rides. Website is http://www.moserrides.com . I dont know if it inverts or just swings. I skimmed through Mosers website and did not see the ride. It maybe one of there newest products but I dont know as it was just one of the things I passed by. I dont know if it was operating or if it was just a display item. Maybe BOBFUNLAND knows or saw more about the ride.

.. are you talking about this:

I didn't ride it, but the people who I watched really seemed to enjoy it. There was a lot of hangtime at the top at times, I hope it was padded well. Oh, and it does do full 360's. Tight radius too, I bet that booger pulls some nice Gs. I know that its new, but I don't remember the name. In fact, I don't even remember seeing or hearing the name period. :-/

By the way, I just checked Zamperla's website, and it doesn't mention anything about a mini Rockin' Tug, which was on display. (to give you an idea of the size, the trailer is was on is about the size of a regular boat trailer) Perhaps it is new too?

Johnny, I saw on your website that you are in KC again??

Thanks Trainguy83

/\ It looks like and interesting concept I thought it looked new as in new product. Seems like once you could get it to 360 you could go for quite a ride if you could get your momentem going. Yes I was up in KC. Take a look in the WOF Patriot tread for more about my stop at WOF.

Whoa...that thing looks like a backyard swingset gone mad! It looks so small. If only it was much larger like a screaming swing. I bet it is cool though!
