Okay..this may sound a little wierd...but, it seems like it would be an awesome ride! Okay...
the setting is a GIANT arena...perhaps several acres big...and all it is, is a big wave pool of dark water. It should look creepy. Anyway, there are many rowboats that seat about 10 people each. They all get in, and it looks like a pleasant boat ride when a storm comes in. It begins to rain softly, and mist fills the room. The waves begin to push heavily, and the boat is being rocked and pushed up and down as if you're in a huge storm! Actually, there is a mechanical arm (or two) under the boat controlling its movement over the waves. The arms move around the bottom of the pool, creating one of the SCARIEST water rides (and definitely the wettest!) ever made! So, does anyone think this would actually work??

That is a good Idea, but if you have ever been to Universeral Studios in Florida, they have a ride like that already.

They do? Exactly? HUGE arena wave pool?...even the rowboats??? I doubt nothing would compare to the thrills of this ride.

That is a pretty interesting idea. I'm not sure how it could be done economically, though. That big wave pool would cost millions to build, and the price of keeping it running would be a nightmare. Plus, you've got to consider the difficulty of operating those robotic arms underwater. But if somebody did manage to construct this, it would easily be one of the coolest rides on earth.

That's a pretty awesome idea! Sounds costly, but worth it.

The sounds really awesome, but how could the arms move with the waves? Waves are never the same, so the arms wouldn't be able to have programmed motions. (If they did, imagine what would happen if the arm was supposed to act like the boat was in a trough, but a wave was coming... ) It' a great idea, but it has some kinks to works out.

That sounds cool , but what if there was a coaster that went completely underwater! There is a great risk that it could send an electrical shock that kills everyone, but hey, its worth a try.
No they don't. There is nothing even close to being like that in Universal!

I'd love to ride a ride like that, and I don't think the pathetic Jaws ride is anything like that.
