Alien Apex Resort

I'ved heard this rumor some time ago, but it looks as if it is becomming reality. At least this article seems to say that Roswell has approved and are hoping to open by 2010.

As a huge fan of amusement parks I'm happy to see any new construction in this area. Lets pull behind the folks at Roswell as they deliver a great new attraction.

Didn't find anything on the first link but the second one has TONS of stuff. Thanks for the links! Sounds like it is going to be a cool park from what I read on the www.alienapexthemepark.com site.

That's pretty awesome. I can't believe that they actually thought of making Roswell a theme park! Isn't Area 54 in Roswell? If it is, then they could make a roller coaster going through there!

Yes. Roswell NM is the site area 54 and a whole bunch of strange things. Most of which are probably urban legends. Regardless Roswell has been cashing in on the whole alian thing for years now. The adding of an amusement park is just taking it to the next level.

On the other hand, if there are actually aliens there, they could have technology that could lead to a whole new level of thrills. I can see it now space ship rides, transporters pluto, time on the Haluo-deck.

I think I just started an urban legend.

What kinds of coasters/rides will they be having. Is it going to be a thrill park or a Family park. Will it be about the size of WildwestWorld or bigger.

First, I think you mean Area 51, right? Also, no, Area 51 is not in Roswell but is near Rachael, Nevada. The conspiracy goes the aliens crashed in Roswell and were sent to Area 51.

I'm ashamed of myself for knowing these details.

Let's think of some good ride ideas. First thing to come to mind was a big intamin Gyro Drop, painted green, and a UFO at the top of the tower, and it's like you're being abducted and brought up...And then dropped. And at night there can be a green light that comes down to the ground as you ascend the tower.

There can be a robotic arm also, as a "you're being probed by an alien" type of ride. Minus the probing part.

I guess they can just go out and buy Flight of Fear from CF, ET from Universal, and Extra-terrorestrail from Disney. Okay this one's a joke.

^ I like the Gyro Drop idea.

Really the space themeing gives endless possibilities.

I think an enclosed Top Spin used to tell a Alien Abduction story would be great.

Other ideas?

An alien zoo type dark ride with all sorts of animitronic creatures would be nice.
