Question B&M Dive Machine at Chimelong Paradise

Yup that restricted contract with Busch is finally up and China is the first take it advantage of it!

http://rcdb.com/id3930.htm

Can anyone dig up any more info about this? It has me intrested. Chimelong already has a clone on their hands and I'm wondering if we're just gonna see a Shierkra or Griffon clone?

If the contract is up could CF have already paid for one of these to be installed next year?...

I have allways thought that BUSCH had an exclusive to the drop coaster, then they also got the exclusive on the floorless, so they had both. Well I think that the reason Sheikra was converted to floorless was so that Busch could have the rights to the floorless version and allow others to build standard drop coasters.

Other wise great to see more B&M's. Maybe this will be a new layout, I hope its not a clone its such a shame to wast a new coaster on a clone.

I hope it is not a clone, I always like to see new designs. Maybe it will have a new element to a DM. Like a loop.

I'd like to see something along the lines of a Corkscrew.

OO! An inside tophat. How cool would that be on a DM? Get dropped down a 90 degree drop, go up 90 degrees and get flipped upsidedown at the top, go down another 90 degree into a zero-G roll, the a banked turn into the MCBR. 90 degree drop, immelmen(sp.), airtime hill, splash down, banked curve into brakes. that would be awesome, but of course it is never gonna happen.

I hope this dive machine will be interesting. Knowing that the world only has a very small amount of these coasters, whenever a new dive machine is being built, it really catches my eye.

I doubt B&M would have signed a full out exclusive contract on there coaster. It was likely North America. Exclusivity contracts are normally regional and I doubt Busch gardens gets that many visiters form china.

Looking at the fact they have all Clones at the park we may see another clone. though with all hope it will be a new design. not that I see myself going to china any time soon.

This, or even a zero-g roll will be extremely hard on a DM to design because of the enormous width of the trains. The heartline will be totally off for the outside riders, making it a particularily uncomfortable ride for these riders in these types of elements. It's a surprise the Immelmann was pulled off so well.

How can you say that? Look at the exit for the first immelmen on Griffon. It's basically half of an inline twist.

A standard vertical loop would still be cool... What if it went through the twist slowly? I think that might be awesome sitting on an edge seat.

That's kind of what happens on dive machines.

Would bottom clearance possibly be an issue on exiting a regular loop on a dive coaster. It may have to be stretched out there.

In the original plans of Sheikra there was a zero-g roll.

Also in regards to the exclusiveness to Busch, that was only in the U.S. if I remember correctly - and China is certainly not in the U.S. which means they really are taking advantage of their contract with Busch because they are getting one before any other park in the U.S.

As for other inversions, the loop would have to have a wide base, I mean it would have to be spread apart so the trains wouldn't hit the other side. I would like to see a zero-g roll, dive loop (especially like the one on Kraken), a pretzel loop, or maybe even something completely new. A loop wouldn't be much different in any seat.

Yes, was in the original plans. But not on the real thing. I don't think a heartline roll would work on a dive machine since, for most of the riders, it wouldn't roll at the heart as the name suggests.

I don't think that a heartline roll would be completely impossible on a dive machine. Furious Baco, with its extra wide trains manages to accomplish this (though people complain of it beign rough). I think that the only reason it was taken out of Sheikra's plans was because it would have been too tight based on the drawing that I have seen of where it was supposed to go (in between the fan turn and the water splash). If they make an enlongated heart line role then it should be entirely possible.

A zero-g roll is a completely different thing from a heartline roll, and it is certainly better. I would rather see any ride with a zero-g roll as opposed to a heartline roll

Finally some pictures of this beast: http://www.coasterforce.com/forums/v...17470&start=98

Good news, does not appear to be a clone of any of the dive coasters thus far. Cool paint job, immelman goes all the way to the ground, and a swooping turn up under the lift and drop supports. Looks awesome so far, hopefully the rest of the layout is unique.

The X paint job and an Immelmann that comes all the way down - I can't complain at all.

Can I see that drawing?

Anyways, I like the colors, but the Immelman looks more like a Dive Loop. Does anyone else think that? I love the SheiKra picks on the banner.

No, it's definitely an Immelman. Dive Loops have the loop part second, hence the "diving loop" part.
Anyway, on one of the pics they have an advertisement for it, and the pic on the sign was SheiKra. That cracked me up lol, especially with all the hype bout it not being a SheiKra clone.

And one other thing, Is that a 90* drop? Or less?

Don't know where y'all are from but that looks an awful lot like a clone so far. The lift, 90+ degree turn, drop, immelmann. Sounds awfully familiar. I'm also guessing since on the advertisement there is a picture of SheiKra's water splash that this will have one also. Seems like B&M's having a hard time just letting Dive Machines turn into the big thing they could be. I could be wrong, construction isn't done yet so who knows, but so far this looks as though it won't be much different from SheiKra or Griffy.

Is it just me, or do they name there coasters really obvious names, such as "10 inversion roller coaster". So I was wondering what are they going to name this coaster...I have a few suggestions:

Big Dive Machine Coaster
3 Row Train Coaster
90 Degree Angle Drop Coaster

:P
