Ugh, doesn't look good at all. I'll probably ride it once, and most likely be disappointed (1300 foot wild mouse in a box, come on), and won't ride again.

Bad decision, a Tony Hawk clone would have been much better. It doesn't have Flash Pass either hich is stupid since it is a Mack Mouse clone and probably has low capacity. Sorry Shapiro, this definatly was not "spicy".

Construction has already started. Look at Chiller.

Somebody on GADV.com pointed out that the capacity may be 32 people per train. If you look at the other rides on the site, it gives you the number of people per train. Nitro says 36. KK says 16. And so on. This may not be a typical mouse.

But Skull Mountain is only a few steps away from where this is going to go, and it sounds like they have a pretty similar concept...

Exactly. I think it'll have about the same amount of track of one side of CHILLER. I would think the CHILLER side is much more exciting of the short track than this. Six 180 turns - I'm dreading this.

My preliminary thought is I'll definitely buy the shirt and enjoy it more than the ride.

Is anyone else annoyed at the lack or a proper announcement. There was no press release via PR Newswire like everything else, no virtual POV, no pictures, no anything but some words. I'm thinking it's because things may have changed drastically with the sudden removal of Chiller, but I wish they pulled this together a lot better. I'm just really hoping that they make what seems to be an indoor mouse really good. Wild Mice aren't all that bad, and as I said somewhere before, Great Adventure was missing that type of ride. Between the theming and the indoor aspect, they have the opportunity to do something to make it way more than just a mouse. I hope that they do just that.

Shapiro and friends see no reason to spend that money on advertising yet. Their webpage does enough for them. The ride opens next year. That's when the ads start.

They must be saving that precious money from a lack of a buzz for the theming. Counting every penny. Haha Shapiro has shown much more wilder they could get with ads.

I've heard on another site that they might actually change it to 3200 feet and a Six Flags Spokesman said it will have heavy theming, like Space Mountain, with lights, sounds, 3-d effects..

CHILLER has gone from 10-15% percent removed, where I thought there was a slither of it still living on because the work was only being done in the removed roll section, to now about 30-40% removed. The work has progressed to where all supports and any of the 0 degree track leading towards the tower is now completely gone. Just the 45 degree angled track on the tower leading to the sky remains along with the main section of the Top Hat and Cobra roll. Track has been removed from the valley of the cobra roll. The crane sits near the observatory on the side of where the rolls used to be located. They have not touched the observatory yet. As sad as I was during this wake for my friend CHILLER I found other people there with cameras. It was quiet and breezy. The heroic music in the background was a nice tribute to the ride. As the sun shined off the remaining CHILLER track I looked down to see a Batman The Dark Knight Coaster sign on the fence near the main CHILLER tower. It was a sign of optimism with shine coming off of CHILLER that great things are to come. It's like it told me it's okay to move on. The big shocker was the additional Dark Knight coaster signs over the Movietown Water Effect site and entrance. This ride really does not look to be just 1,300 feet long. Estimates of 3,000 feet look really juicy. Things are looking really good though there is no more doubt CHILLER is coming down - End of Story!!! So long my Friend. I don't think I will have the same kind of loving attention to any other ride in the park ever. It was a great place to work.

The only jealousy I have is the very few people that were able to ride both the Batman side and Kingda Ka in the same day. The timeframe was quite short to do that since SFGADV became the only park in the world with both types of Top Hats. At least we have one to replace the other. I really would have wanted that privilege. So long to that.

When I first saw the tower in the distance I thought things were ok but when I saw this close up it was a real shock. I put my arm on my chest. It's the point of no return.

http://www.amusementpics.com/SFGAdvN...092907-028.jpg
All that's left of the tower.

http://www.amusementpics.com/SFGAdvN...092907-034.jpg
The truth was out there.
http://www.amusementpics.com/SFGAdvN...092907-052.jpg
No wonder it looked thinner in the distance. The Cobra Roll valley is missing.
http://www.amusementpics.com/SFGAdvN...092907-044.jpg
As much as I felt sad, I felt optimism when I saw this sign. I'd like to thank that site for taking the pics. He's cool for documenting our park.

There is mad steel still left. What a chunk to recycle/sell/move? Will the Top Hat become a new jungle gym for monkies in the Safari that are playing on GASM's old loop top?

Why would a sign at the entrance of the old drenching raft boat ride be a sign its returning as Aquaman? Is Aquaman brown like the New Jersey water, full of iron? I think it's on its way out.

No, it's for the kiddies, since they are of absolute top importance, and make up the entire attendance, at all Six Flags parks.

Does anyone else think its funny they listed Dark Knight under thrill rides?

I don't think its funny, since if everything happens to the ride as stated in the press release, it will be a thrill ride.

Precisely. We still assume it's a typical Wild Mouse, or something along the lines of one. We're really not sure. As I always say, time will tell.

Screamscape is now reporting that Movie Town Water effect is on it was out. This makes me wonder whether or not TDK will use some of that land.

A return of a flat if the coaster does not expand out there over the Movietown site or the other way around? Hopefully that would be temporary until a tower ride could be erected there? Maybe MTWE would become a supersized queue line? Not surprised with Movietown Water Effect.

According to a Q&A with GM, Mark Kane today by a site, Chiller's looks to be heading overseas. The top buyer I'm assuming is in Europe..

Hopefully for their purchase they get the rolls back and improved in some way.

Just heard the buyer is from Japan, Medusa will be painted very soon, and a major coaster is very likely for 2009 according to the Q&A.

Didn't they close and move the first Mad Cobra spaghetti LIM coaster in Japan already?

The ride experience is nuts. Whoever buys it needs some good fortune to get it together.

Thank god. I think that could be the most necessary paint job in the park.

I am still going to vouch it could go another two years without paint. Those original colors were very good choices for fading when you remember what Batman the Ride used to look like.

Well I would easily believe that we could get a coaster in 2009. But I wonder what they mean by soon for new paint on Medusa. It would be nice if it was for the 2008 season. Might keep some attention away from the new ride on the other side of the park.
