I was at the park a week ago. All you can see of the ride from outside the park is the crane setting it up. I have a few photos, but I cant post them till I get home (I'm sitting in the Orlando airport right now...)

The progress seems like a joke. They have to really get going now that they can get the permits.

That's insane in the crane brain. It looks as small as those cranes get.

The Dark Knight is no longer listed on Six Flags New England site!

I believe the Joker was behind all this. He was probably the construction manager, building before all the permits were issued. When he came to the Agawam officials he probably said "Why so serious?"

Well if SFNE has to pull the plug there's a certain SF park in MD. in need of a new ride more than SFNE is that they could ship the ride to for 2009 as it would be too late to put it up for 08.

That is so dumb of SFI,and SFNE in particular to not get ALL of the necessary permits before ordering...and paying for the ride, even the management at SFA know better than to order a ride that the county won't permit them to build due to their extremley difficult zoning requirements down in PG county.

Just past that train crossing would be great for this Dark Knight at SFA. Gotham City needs more volume buildings there. Wild Mouse capacity would not seem threatening at SFA I would guess.

I was going to continuing calling the lil floorless Batman: The Dark Knight Coaster anyway.

Track and trains are still sitting at the park.

The park is also still advertising the ride as an 2008 addition.

How about you hold off on extra rides in Gotham until they finish installing the infrastructure that your "oh-so-neglected" park needs. Can't have rides with no/little power. Can't keep drawing people to an area with such low water flow they don't have food stands or rest rooms. Right?

Not anymore. Looks like they've yet removed all references of the New England installation from the national homepage and from the park's homepage.

I meant at the park it self, not on the website.

I doubt within 2 days the park loaded up all the track laying in the lot and shipped it away

It's a portable coaster but it's not liked it's scheduled to be at a State Fair next week and has to go.

Of course I hope against what we hear but if they're really going to expel the thing could it go to Great Escape even and sit outdoors or go in the Nightmare building?

Well, The Dark Knight Coaster has officially been cancelled by the park. The ride will not be introduced this season. Instead, Glo In The Park parade will be this summer's new addition. Go to www.masslive.com to read the whole article.
