DSC has announced their 2008 attraction this morning. It appears to be a bowl slide called Swiftwater Run. The artrical can be found here

Its a shame they are only getting one of those, rather then a pair of them. There Hourly capacity is horrendous.

^^Holiday World's line seemed to go very fast with multiple rafts on the ride at one time, so I don't think it will be that bad with all of there other attractions spreading people out.

^Looking at the article you linked to me it sounds like you will start at the top tower go down into the bowl swirl around several times then when you leave the bowl portion of the ride you will do a corkscrew then go down a chute leading into a splash pool.

The bowl will be located in the area of the park between Mountain Scream and Mountain Twist. We have removed the Soaker Springs wetzone in preparation for this addition and an addition in 2009.

I can't wait for 2009. I started a dollywood splash country 2009 suggestion box thread. Perhaps we can let them know some of our ideas. Just a thought.

Dollywood Pete, (or if anyone else knows) I was wondering if you could tell us which company the bowl slide was purchased from. I love exploring water rides. I have found Proslide which seems to be the industry leader but Splash Country's Swiftwater Run isn't listed as an installation on their site. I would love to look at the website of whatever company Swiftwater came from to see their products. To me its fun to do that type of stuff. If its a secret I totally understand. Thought it was worth it to at least ask.

^ A lot of places don't update their websites very often, so that might be the reason its not listed.
