Six Flags Discovery Kingdom 2008

Six Flags Discovery Kingdom will debut a Tony Hawk Spinner coaster in 2008. It will be placed on Zonga's site. I would not be surprised though if the concrete pad is retained and a portable version is placed on the old Zonga site. Why waste the money ripping it up?

I have seen any update on the net about this supposed shorter version of the Tony Hawk coaster.

I heard that SFDK's version is being packed up in Germany. Read it on the News Plus Notes. I'm glad they could use the same brand for this spinning coaster. This brand was able to make a modified portable version of the Tony Hawk coaster. I'm glad they didn't rip up and waste Zonga's old concrete pad.

I'm glad Six Flags is actually theming their rides now. And I read that this ride is like "Aqua Wind" in Japan except spinning, so at least it isn't a clone that exists in North America already.

Yep, that would be really close to the drawing I saw for the SFDK version.

This looks like a mirrored version in the SFDK provided pics.

Just a few pieces left and this coaster is done. It's perfect how they picked this portable model to go over the Zonga concrete slab.

The opening of this ride sneaked up on me. I'm most interested in this Tony Hawk coaster because of it's portable and varied layout because it made no sense to tear up an expensive concrete pad that was there for Zonga. I liked the photos at Theme Park Village.
