Cedar Point 2008

Is there really not a CP 08 construction thread??? I searched and got nothing. Anyways.

http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/new...ry&story_id=47

It would appear that Planet Snoopy is offcial now along with new shows! I really like the rendering of the area, but my favorite thing is the shows.

"Next to Planet Snoopy, “All Wheels Extreme” is set to wow guests young and old in the former aquatic stadium. Skilled stunt bikers, skateboarders and rollerbladers will perform flips, tricks and unbelievable stunts in this high-energy BMX-style show."

As long as it lives up to that explanation on the page that show sounds awesome!

I'm not surprised this is all stuff you would have found at Geauga Lake, when Six Flags installed it. At least SFGADV has all these Planet Snoopy attractions. We had a BMX show at the Lakefront Water Ski arena two years ago at SFGADV.

Yeh, I remember walking past the Aquatic Stadium last season feeling like I was walking past a pile of concrete, good to see it finally being used again.

It sounds like they will have a lot of repeat rides from Camp Snoopy and Kiddie Kingdom. They have spinning balloons already, the submarine ride will be the same as the Cap Bus, they have 4x4s in KK, the train ride I assume will be the one that's already there but that makes me happy. I was afraid they were getting rid of it, the bouncing tower they have Snoopy Bounce already. The tea cups sound like they only thing the park doesn't already have. What a shame too because there are so many awesome kiddie rides out there that CP doesn't have. Still the addition will be a much needed improvement to the old Peanuts Playground area. That spot has been a dried up dead zone for years now since the bearnstein bears got the boot.

(edit) I see from the rendering that the train will not be the same one. that seems like a perfect waste. At least the old one circled the whole area.

They could be keeping the train, as they left it in their navigation bar, and it is currently the only ride listed under the Planet Snoopy category.

Finally when I walk by that area of the park I won't have to go and get an asprin for my head from all of the fake horns and stuff there.

Well, at least there won't be as many fake horns.

^All those fake horns make up for the "older kids" screaming on the roller coasters.

Nice to see Cedar Point expanding for the kids.

The "Project 2008" cam is finally working. I had been having trouble when they first added it. Looks like it's snowing today.
