Exclamation Niagara's Fury

I'm suprised to see there isn't a topic on this, but a couple weeks ago Niagara Parks Commision(NPC) announced a huge attraction for tha Canadian side of The Falls. only the name and a teaser trailer has been released.

Screamscape got this quote:
Quote:
“The biggest thrill, 10,000 years in the making, will take Niagara Falls by storm. This summer, the Fury will hit. The new multi-million dollar attraction, staged at the brink of the Horseshoe Falls, is the only one of its kind in the world and this summer The Niagara Parks Commission (NPC) will be unleashing the Fury at the new Table Rock Center.
While the details of the experience and attraction are still under wraps, Niagara Parks has started to slowly unveil the Fury by releasing the name and website. Utilizing technology and science never before conceived NPC assembled experts from across the globe to produce and create Niagara’s Fury. Go to Niagarasfury.com now to register and be among the first to receive more exciting information as it is released to the public.
“Niagara’s Fury is an extreme experience like no other. It will change you in a way you never imagined. The real question is, Will you Survive?” asked Jim Williams, NPC Chairman.”

There's a teaser for the attraction up at www.niagarasfury.com

I'm really curious to see what kind of attraction this will be. I remember a rumor from years ago about a coaster along the gorge, but I'm going to doubt that one for now.

It'll be a 50 foot Mauer Sohne spinning coaster... WITH 3 DROPS. Haha, just joking. It sounds big. Hope they announce it soon. They sure have been waiting a long time (10,000 years, )

Maybe they are going to start charging people to actually go over the falls in a barrel

They do: its called the $40k fine. :P

In truth though, this seems like a cool idea: sad that the American side is a failure, but good to see that we are getting new attractions there (Alot were very... tourist trappy, this summer)

It's nice that you copy and paste a blip with the correct spelling of the city and yet still manage to misspell Niagara. It's not like Viagra in spellling.

Thank's for catching that, I guess it never really cuaght my eye that it was spelled differently. I changed the one in my post, but I think a mod has to change the thread title.

Fixed.

I wonder though if this is just going to be some big simulator ride. Where they take you back in time and stuff.

My guess: It might be something like Twister at Universal Studios, but at a larger scale. They way they describe all the elements and everything it seems like it could be some form of simulator type attraction.

New update.
Play Freezing Falls for your chance to win more entries into the grand prize draw.

It's pretty much tetris. I'm number one on the leader board as of right now.

Also, I'm not sure if anyone has noticed but the countdown clock is counting up...

Hi All

Niagara's Fury will be a simulator ride in a building next to the Canadian waterfall. The Park is hyping this new attraction because announcing just another simulator ride would not drag out the interest like the mystery oin their ad campaign has.
The ride is strongly rumored to be a state-of-the(-Disney)-art raft ride through time from the last ice age, the formation of the Great lakes & Niagara river and the creation of Niagara Falls & Gorge. The Fury will be inside the Table Rock House, known for its location next to Canadian/Horseshoe Falls.

The park has a sure moneymaker in the Fury. It would definitely be more fun to have a real ride over the Falls, but could be suicide.

It sounds interesting, but I'm guessing the price will be outrageous.

There's a new update on the website featuring a weather report for the attraction.

The countdown clock is also still counting up.

The countdown clock is counting up because its not a countdown clock. It is saying how long the ride has been in the making

The Fury has been revealed.
Doesn't look that bad, and will probably be something I'd stop by and see when I'm at the Falls.

Eh, pretty much what I was expecting... Sounds kind of interesting, if I had some time to kill I'd check it out.

I think it looks pretty cool, actually. As long as it's better than Soarin'...which i thought was pretty lame, however, this looks like basically the same thing, with a different theme, and slightly more immersive effects, as well as the fact that you're standing on the Fury. Hmm...
