A construction crane has arrived on on sight, maybe we will see something interesting soon. I am really curious where they are going to do the Rock the Universe event, anybody hear anything?

Not sure if this was already posted but i recieved a survey in my e-mail today about what type of music you would like to see on the playlist for the ride.

Check it out: Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit Music Survey

Nice survey, I rated every song possible.
I liked a lot of the choices but hit a lot of "poor" for rap/R&B songs. (sue me, I don't like the genre)

I thought the song choices were odd, to say the least and some of them obviously aren't going to be real possibilities.

I thought the same. I did go through the entire list rateing every song but that was by far the most loopy song list ever.

Of course i'm not into heavey metal, rock, R&B, Rap or classic rock so i honestly had no idea what half of those songs were.

I mainly hit ok or poor for artist i didn't know.

Haha, they're considering putting The Devil Went Down To Georgia? Not the most fitting song, but I still think that would be awesome.

I hope they end up with Free Bird though, I know that's the song I'm going to be listening to on my first ride.

That list included so many songs I have never heard of before. If the time warp from Rocky Horror does get selected that'll be my first song.

Maurer Söhne had the model on display at IAAPA. The first half of the ride should be absolutely amazing, and I can't wait for it. Hopefully we'll start seeing some noticeable progress in the next month or so.

Im kinda iffy about this ride...I've done two different X-Cars so far. One was AMAZING, the other one of the worst coasters I've ever been on.. So this ride kinda has me on the fence. The non-inverting loop looks kinda neat.. But the fact that the lifthill is 40*s steeper than the drop turns me off...

I agree with the weird lifthill/first drop relationship. Even Ultra Twister didn't have that with the original models. It spells lameness.

I don't know what it is, but I love pictures of freshly painted track pieces still in the factory, or ones that have been installed but have yet to be used(like Manta)...they just look so...smooth and awesome.

It looks like the drop after the 1st brake run (after the loop) is going to have a pretty steeply angled drop, it even looks steeper than the 1st drop, so who knows, that first drop might not be too crazy, but maybe that second one will give you some air...atleast I hope.

This is a very interesting coaster project nonetheless.

This looks like a really cool coaster. That first loop it something I have made in NL several times, and I love making it and I think it looks and rides very, very nicely. I love the support structure have have on display for it: http://www.coastersandmore.de/rides/.../eas08_20g.jpg
But on the other hand, the return track after the second brake looks pretty boring...hopefully the back section with the tight turns will make up for it.
And I hope your head won't REALLY be chopped off going through the tunnel: http://www.coastersandmore.de/rides/.../eas08_21g.jpg

Someone presented a set of pics to the 'Scape(Screamscape). If you want to be more exact it's a general Orlando area fan site I believe. The track section reminds me of some Premier track. The support colors remind me of Diamondback's.

This coaster doesn't look all that exciting. Some one brought up the first inversion. that's not an inversion. it starts to be one then pulls out at the last minute. The whole design looks like a family level coaster stretched out.

Well, stopped out at the park this morning for a peak at the construction. Things are moving along. Some track has gone up and lots of work on the station area is going on. Anyway I will have periodic updates nothing like manta but will have some. Here are some photos from today Johnnyupsidedown.com Rip Ride Rockit Photos
And here is a Youtube vid that somebody put together on No limits.. Pretty decent vid.

I'm gonna have to agree.

People were comparing this to Manta as one of the more anticipated coasters of the year?

*shrugs*

I don't get it.

Yeah, it's just out there. I don't appreciate what will be the multiple blocks like it's a Schwarzkopf portable or something.

With the track style at least it will look cooler than the Manhattan Express.
