I'm glad the ride is finally topped off. I don't really care for beyond vertical drops but it now looks weird in photos with a pure vertical lift and then an angled drop. Truly unique no doubt.

Does anyone know whats left before getting the cars on and testing?
How far is all teh electrical done?
Is the lift mechinisms done yet?
Is the station complete yet?
How much landscaping is done?

How long do you think testing will be if all is OK two weeks at the most?

I was asking all these questions because I am hooping there is a SLIM chance if everything else goes on schedule it can have some soft openings by the second week of june. If the above questions are DONE DONE DONE DONE close to done etc that is.

I know it would be a miricle but thats all I got right now.

Even if it was ready to test now... it would need like a month or so before it would open... So I'm guessing the second week of June is gonna be a no-go.

Electrical work still ongoing. Other machanical work was getting done today testing air systems and set brake calipers. Still lots of basic work getting done like concrete side walls in the trenches. The touch up paint and nut and bult painting is about half way around the coaster.
Testing... lets see, if I had to venture a guess,, I would say at least 3 weeks before test.. Then about 3 weeks of solid testing.. So my guess opening is mid June to end of June.. but thats just my guess..
Anyway...
I was by the park today, sad to say but I may only do one more update on this coaster since it is mostly finished. I may have one more update then something for opening day.. Hope everybody has enjoyed the photos.
Also you may notice something very different as you view the Rip Rockit section. Doing some testing on some possible changes in the coming months (Send me a PM if you notice the difference)..

New photos from todays update are here... Johnnyupsidedown.com New Rip Ride Rockit Photos
Here is the coaster from today..

Can someone explain to me what was the huge setback for this coaster for it to still be under construction?

It looks like final track delivery was slow.

Hope they have it up and running before August 8th. That non-inverted loop looks awesome.

Imo this thing is likely to start test anyday now, I don't think they where twittling their thumbs while they where waitng for the final pieces/and or problems to be worked out. I believe evening night test will start very soon while they finish the landscape touch up stuff during the day.

Thanks for the updates Johnny Of both HRRR and Manta

We haven't even seen a track pull through yet. I mean, it would be nice to imagine that they've been wiring up the rest of the ride, but we aren't even sure of how all the station work is going.

I noticed something interesting about that video. The "Jump Cut" is called a new move, but isn't it eerily similar to this:

I could take a guess as to what has happened.. Go back a few weeks with the delay when they didnt hang the track up the lift.. There was some issues with the lift track or crest of the top. I would say that orginally they were just going to wait on the new track but felt they wanted to get it hung and tested... Reason to do it would have been to get a draw ( contract payment). Most things are payed on what gets done. So they may have decided to hang it and run the system, that way people get there money..
Now I would only assume that currently track is being fabricated or is on the way and will arrive soon its even possible that they need to change something on the track and its getting done local by a welding company or could be done on site by factory reps of Mauro SHone..
Also I have heard that the rumored opening of JUly 3rd. For those that followed my site recently I had some inside shots from a spy and was told more like mid July.. Dont know if there is any truth to it so who knows, I dont. Hope to hear some new stuff later in the week.

Screamscape was saying that they are probably actually adding an anti-rollback system, which makes sense because if there was a lift hill failure then the train would fly straight back into the station.

Some new photos from today are up. The site is coming along nice, some consturction fences are gone. Lots of landscape work getting done, some final painting getting done. They were working on the top of the lift today. Most likely lift motor and other stuff to get the ride operating again.

So figured I would try to catch some test runs. Got lucky and they did 4 while I was there.
The ride is looking great, the station looks awesome. The ride runs very quite and seems to be pretty smooth. Lots of new photos to see,, Johnnyupsidedown.com Rip Rockit

The ride valleyed between the non inverting loop and the first MCBR. It probably goes with the territory of testing a coaster.

^Unless its a B&M.

Looks from the videos that this rides going to be moving rather slow through the circuit...that is, unless they decide to speed up the lift.

I beg to differ. The lift is moving much faster in this video, and the rest of the ride seems a lot faster too. This is the best Rock It video I have found so far...I must admit though, it looks really cool at night.

The train rides through the circuit a lot faster in that video cause the lift was moving about 5 mph faster!

I would be stoked if they actually ran it that way when it opens, but we'll just have to wait and see. They may decide to slow the lift Goliath style as it crests the lift. Unfortunately, it would have an adverse effect on the ride.
