Roaring Falls - Celebration City 2008

New for 2008: Roaring Falls at Celebration City
The ride officially opened on Friday April 18th, to a very COLD Opening Day. Originally this ride operated at Geauga Lake as Shipwreck Falls.

This sure slipped by and out of the CF system quickly. I didn't like the tree like support system. That gave it a cheap look but I understood how a former lazy river flowed underneath the raft ride at Geauga Lake. I remember that green water of the former lazy river too at my only Geauga Lake visit ever in 2007.

When CC first opened I thought it was supposed to be unique, cutting edge, and a multi-themed experience. So far none of their rides have much theming, I hope this park gets much better developed in the next few years.

However I do think that Roaring Falls is the best addition to the park since it opened.

^Sure, that's what the press release said, but you have to admit, for what it's worth CC is a pretty good little park

If it was very cold the last thing i would want to do would be going anywhere near that thing. It looks niether impressive nor cheap, but just kinda a footnote. Like "oh yeah, we have that thing now"
