Construction Update May 28th, 2008!
What's new out at the park today. More work has been done in the middle of the work area with large walls getting built. The footer drilling machine has been moved to a new location for more drilling. Rebar, well pumps and other equipment has shown up this week as work continues on Manta.

Fantastic photos! I'm uber-excited to see how this ride turns out. I haven't been to Sea World since I was like 10, and of course I'm going there in October, before it opens. Ha. Oh well. Orlando's gonna be the place to be next year for sure, so I'll have to make it back.

The next couple years actually, with HP on the horizon, and disneys big answer to all this expansion, which will be big I'm sure.

I'm so excited to be going down to orlando for school next year.

Manta has been announced by Seaworld finally. Sounds amazing. It is a whole new area of the park with rays everywhere.

The actual ride is 140ft tall and has 4 inversions. And there is a Manta wing splashdown turn where wing touches the water.

I'm so relieved that this should end up being a fairly thrilling ride. I was worried that it was going to be a family coaster with a low height and no inversions, so this is great.

BGWfanatic, are you starting down here this fall or next year?

Sounds amazing. I too was expecting it to be much smaller so this is good news and gives me a reason to visit Sea World again.

I wouldn't think the train would be as extensive as portrayed of course but I'd expect a Dueling Dragons effort of a train at least.

From the way it sounds i'd expect a Dueling Dragons type of que line but we'll see is a year or so. I really do hope the trains come out looking good.

Sea World's queues and exits are alway pretty good. I expect we will see many aquariums and themed decorations for this new one as well.

I think the theming on this will blow Kraken's theming out of the water.... er no pun intended. This could be BEC's best total ride experience to date when considering ride aesthetics and thrills. Alpengeist currently holds this title for Busch Parks.

Did you forget which two companies are involved in this project?

140 ft. is pretty tall, to me it sounds like it will be more like Tatsu than anything. I hope this ride has a zero g roll and some lie to fly elements like on Borg, that and a full loop - starting and ending on your stomach would be awesome, but if it is like Borg's loop that would still be awesome.

If the budget had not been cut for Kraken, it too would have awesome themeing.

stevo, I disagree. I have ridden all the major Busch Gardens coasters except Griffon many times and Montu has the best by far including the big ruins thing in front of it. I don't remember Alpengeist having as good theming at. I liked the ski lodge but Montu definitely blows that out of the water. So does Sheikra.

Except that the 2-3 gs pulled throughout the loop would be force that is exerted on your stomach instead of your behind, and that would be both unpleasant, and possibly unsafe on the flexible restraint, which me able to handle 300 pound, but not 2-3 times that much.

Yeah, I think a gold star is needed for who ever finds it. I was hoping this would be the next step in released pics but we get the ones that were already leaked to us.

I like B&M's flying loops. I prefer that entry and exit. It's the most forceful loop @ SFGADV. It'll crush a yelp out of me going through it. I like the look of that one raised turnaround on Tatsu.

Based on those illustrations issued that looks closely tailored to that.

If that's it, it's a pretty sick layout. Looked like it traveled pretty fast throughout the track.

This is for amnesiac.

That would be a great evolution for the flying genre if it really comes out like that. The loop is like what I'd make in RCT.

I love that layout the transitions from fly to lie and lie to fly are really long and smooth. Also lots of lie parts. I love it. I really hope that is it.

If some how that becomes the layout then it would be great to see B&M leave the basic smuf coasters with this new interesting layout.

That's what Busch usually does to B&M. Kumba was their first huge coaster, Apollo's Chariot was their first megacoaster, and they gave new meaning to Dive Machines. Fortunately they're spreading the love to their Sea World Parks.

I hate to be a negative nancy, but I don't think that will be the layout. A few of those lie to flys looked too intense for a beemer, PLUS, I thought by reading the press release there would be a lot more right over the water moments...PLUS, in the background art of the release, you can see a pretzel loop.

If that is really what the layout is going to be this is a radical departure from the usual stuff B&M has done in the past. I can't believe it until I actually see something from Busch.

BGWfanatic, send me a PM if you have any questions about school before or after orientation. I'd be happy to help you out.

You could be right. But then again, Air strays far from the other B&M flyers built.

I want my gold star back if that's not it.

In the art work you cannot see a pretzel loop, you see half of a loop, which is in the NoLimits layout.
