| Racecoaster at Nurburgring Germany
I was looking at the 2009 coasters on RCDB and came across this ride. It's an S&S "Thrust Air" coaster and launches at 135 mph in 2.5 seconds, which is ridiculous and not only one second quicker acceleration than Kingda Ka but also 7 mph faster. I'm interested to see how tall this will be and how rough/good it is compared to TA2K and Dodonpa. Either way it sounds insane.

I don't think it'll actually have any altitude at all. I think it's one giant oval.

Of course I'm disappointed it threatens a record New Jersey possesses and then I think about my experience on Hypersonic to wonder how rough/bad it's going to be. I don't want to read too much into it.

This thing will just end up like Hyper Sonic. It'll probably be only lasting a few years. -JDP |

I think there's already a thread about this ride, and that one has concept art. As far as the giant oval thing, it appears to have a winding layout, and is supposed to simulate F1 racing. From the concept art it appears it will do very well. Basically no altitude, but imo it will be a good experience. Unfortunately, it is made by S&S, and we all know how their coasters turned out...

I remember hearing about that ride, so yeah this could be a repeat thread but i didn't know S&S was going to do that ride. It will be a shame in my opinion if it has no significant altitude, but RCDB doesn't list any altitude so that could be true. Also, how does Dodonpa compare to TA2K, and do you think it will be removed in the near future as well? It's strange that those coasters have been deemed very rough while PowderKeg at SDC is made by S&S and is very smooth, though the track and trains are different Does anyone know, will this be faster than the Dragsters in Florida?

Faster yes. Don't those only go like 115? Acceleration, i don't know for sure. If my memory serves me correctly, then yes, but I don't remember if those accelerate in 2 seconds or 1.5.
