Yep. Thats pretty much it. Cobra is complete except for paint and i would rather watch then demo an original park attraction.

I am much more interested in Carolina Cobra than seeing a piece of Carowinds history get removed. Besides, I want to see whether or not, CCb gets themed.

Hell I'm totally with ya! I a curious about the theming. I will say though, demolition is always interesting because its done so quickly...so I kinda feel Carolina 73 on that...

Cobra Cam :: Carolina Cobra - Carowinds
Is it just me or has the building infront of Cobra been torn down? Last time I was in that area of the waterpark, it was extremely small. It could use a small redesign.

I think it's just the bad camera and it's rainy and overcast. It's still there.

It's light now. How bad will it look when that fades?

We'll just have to wait about 6-7 years to see. I just hope they do a better job than Paramount did with Nighthawk.

I wonder why the skipped that section in the cobra roll.

I wonder how many locals have never seen a ride like this and are just dying to get on it once it opens?

I've seen them before, but never ridden one, so I'd be excited to ride it. That is, if I am able to go this summer. I haven't been in years, and I need to go back to Carowinds eventually.

Painting is almost complete and it looks landscaped somewhat. The roof of the station also looks to be done.

Yea seriously...the color is too light already. It needs to be more bold. Oh well, I just hope the trains make for a smooth ride.

It does look good. I like the colors even though the teal does look really light but the colors will hold good enough until it's time for a new paint job 7-10 years later.

I just wish they would update the photo gallery and maybe get some shots inside the station & of the train.

New shot of Cobra. Everything looks complete except landscaping.

You can tell that this is where the entrance will be as well.

8Some new photos have been added to the Carowinds site.

Looks like part or all of the line will be covered so thats nice to see with Carolina summers.

Still no pictures of the new train yet but i would think testing would start soon so we might see it then.

Wow it looks like they have done away with the headbanging against the restraints.. By the looks of it they appear to be a soft chest cover and then the bars will be far away from the head. Looks kinda like how the flyers have a chest restraint.. Should at least eliminate the head banging all though the ride will still slam you around as most boomerangs do. I might actually have to go for a spin on this thing to see how comfortable the restraint system is.

Can somebody answer a question. Look in this photo http://carolinacobra.carowinds.com/_...n/P1020401.jpg See through all the stuff in the warehouse and what are the orange seats with OTSR, what ride is that for.. They dont seem to fit a coaster is there a flat ride that has OTSRs..

Those are either the seats for Vortex or the red Afterburn seats.

Orange frames with black OTSRs? It looks like Afterburn's seats, but at the same time, it doesn't look like inverted seats at all. Could they be for the 2010 roller coaster, ORANGE Lightning. They may just be parts from the old Head Spin train, maybe they will use it on Cyclone.

Yeah I hear either Vortex or Afterburn.
As far as a 2010 coaster's seats go, most of the former Paramount's parks seem to be getting new B&M hypers, so OTSRs seem unlikely if that's what we're most likely getting. Furthermore, unless it's some kind of rocking floorless, I can't think of too many rides with OTSRs I'd like to have in 2010

The side holes somewhat remind me of Europa Park's Blue Fire restraints but I think those have larger holes to serve as part of the restraint system. That's not the case for this Carowinds model.
