I don't know why anyone would be surprised that this would blow MF out of the water, it really wasn't that hard to beat. With this ride all you had to do is look at the dimensions, the speed around the turns and that insane drop and you could tell the forces on this ride would be unmatched. Millennium Force is truly an over-hyped yawner, and I've felt that way about it since the first time I took a ride.

Thank you Intamin, for providing a huge ride with amazing forces, we knew you had it in you! Who said bigger wasn't always better?

I'm definitely gonna have to make a trip out to the park to ride this puppy.

Could a B&M invert bridge Volcano and Dominator together even more? Both of those coasters are far from an ordinary offering.

How does the air time on this compare to El Toro?

^From what it looks like and what I've read Intimidator has its airtime, but overall El Toro provides more "ejector" style air, and although this ride has pops in places, its not as intense of air as El Toro. Its more about the mix of air with G's of the turns at high speeds.

I'm guessing it feels like Goliath @ MM's helix pretty much throughout the ride, pretty intense.

I'll try to provide a comparison Sunday night. El Toro is my current number one overall so I'm interested in this myself.

From what I've read you get more instances of air on El Toro but you won't be disappointed with what you get on 305.

So, can someone tell me how many Gs this pulls coming out of the first drop and in the first turn? I checked both rcdb and the ride's website and can't find it.

Hey folks! Just got back from KD about an hour or so ago.
I was actually not impressed after my first ride (which was in the middle, more towards the front) but 10 rides on it later, I definitely have a new #1 steel and it's neck and neck with El Toro for #1 overall. I would have ridden it more but my friend hasn't been to KD since Flight of Fear was new so we had to do some other rides as well.
I was not too happy about the assigned seating but I still was able to ride once in the front and once in the back. Both were awesome, front for the first drop and sense of speed and back for feeling the various forces the ride puts you through. I really can't decide which one I liked more. As for my initial disappointment I chalk it up to lousy seating and the track not being "warmed up".
It's so awesome having this coaster 20 minutes from where I live.

To answer metal432's question, El Toro definitely has more spots of airtime of the ejector variety. I really wonder what 305 would be like without that trim though.

^ I'm already hearing similar things from people at Carowinds "I haven't been to the park since Top Gun, but I'm going this year!".

Assigned seats are so Cedar Fair. I was just lucky when I reached the top of the Diamondback stairs.

It helps to know some of the crew, I got 2 back row rides today thanks to connections.

Back row is so kick butt on Intimidator.

Oops, wrong thread. My apologies to the KD fanboys.

I have NEVER understood the point of assigned seating except for the plain fact of pissing guests off. Sure, have an employee stand there and make sure every seat is filled and people are lined up orderly, but theres NO REASON a person who paid for admission shouldn't be able to request sitting in the front or back if they ask the ride op. Typically the crowds go where they are told without question anyway, why is it such a big deal if 2 people every 100 ask to sit somewhere they want to? Personally, I've always taken it as a "power trip" of the ride op because they hate their lives and have nothing else to live for.

Also, I don't get why there's a problem with 2 people taking seats next to each other from single rider lines. If the row was going to be empty anyway, let the two sit together! If they get in the single rider line and want to wait 20 minutes for an empty row...let them!

Its really not that hard! I was a ride op for long enough to know that its not that big a deal if people ask to be seated in a place other than where I was gonna put them. The important thing is to keep seating organized to avoid empty seats and keep the line moving in an orderly fashion to decrease wait time.

The thing is that if you let people chose seats, they are going to migrate towards the front or back.

It really does seem to move things along though, and with Intimidator and my being able to already get 19 rides on it, I can't say I really care too much.

If the line isn't too bad though, and you ask nicely they will usually let you go to the back/front.

And no, it's not just a Cedar Fair thing. Paramount used to do it too.

I've heard the lift is even faster when they are only running one train.
