what happned to disneys villian/extreme thrill park. I was really looking forward to this. i mean think of it a whole disney park with alot of roller coasters with theming of disney movies and other things. So does anybody else know whats goin on with that idea

theres been alot around that. There was some talk about creating a 5th gate as a villian park to compete with IOA. But most of the talk is it was going to be another land at magic kingdom. Even if it was being designed, the park or land. It's probaly been halted because of what happened with animal kingdom. And untill they figure out what to do to make a profit in animal kingdom don't look for a 5th gate. And with so few people now going to orlando and the budget cuts don't look or any confermation on this project. If it even exists.

So why did you reply then? Anyway, the talk of a Villians park has been a rumor for some time now. Last time I heard, Disney has put the idea on hold for numerous reasons, like their dropping attendance and the bad turnout of Animal Kingdom and DCA. Its still a possability, but not likely for a while

More likely to be built next:
1. New land or rides at MK, possibly E ticket rides
2. New land (Beastly Kingdom) at Animal Kingdom
3. New "country" in Epcot's World Showcase

The thrill park was always a rumor. Nothing from the company ever substantiated this. I think that is unfortunate because Disney could build one heck of a thrill park!

Why would a company who specializes, and excels in building family oriented resorts lower themselves to the Six Flags level?

If the thrill park actually became a reality, it wouldn't be a typical six flags park, but more along the lines of Islands of Adventure.

Wait what was that about adding a new land to the magic kingdom

The whole Disney Villian's concept had a bunch of rumors revolving around it. One was that Disney would create a fifth theme park based entirely on the villians in their movies. Another rumor was that they were just building an attraction in the Magic Kingdom based on the villians.

The one about the other land was that above Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom they were going to create an "addition" to the land. It would be based on the Disney villians, and in order to get to it you would have to walk down a scary winding path off off Fantasyland. I've heard the name "shadowlands" tossed up a few times as well.

sure it wouldnt be there style but did u ever thin kthat animals would be theres style... well no but it has its own park so it makes it great it wouldnt be good if there was animal kingdon attractions in the middle of the magic kingdom.....but if they had a park that was built purposly for thrill rides that htat woudl be there style because there not putting big coasters in the middle of all the families who wanna see small world.....but if they built that individual park then the people who do wanna go on coaster woudl know where to go
