Typhoon Lagoon 2005?

I was just watching the Orlando news (Local6) and they made an announcement that WDW is building a watercoaster in Typhoon Lagoon. I contacted the station and they aren't releasing anymore info. So I'm throwing this in Rumors, since it hasn't been "officially" announced yet. Anybody know more about this?

It sucks compared to Blizard Beach and Schlitterbahn, but I be it could beat and Hurricane Harbor park .

Anyway, pics are on Screamscape. And Master Blaster rules.

By the way, shouldn't this be in the 2005 construction thingy?

Typhoon Lagoon's wave pool is the best damn wave pool I have ever been in. Granted I havent been there since 98, but from what I remember the waves were massive (and I hope they didnt tone it down). It was amazing standing in the middle of the pool and having to look up to see the top of the wave.

^ It's fun going where the wave starts, and then getting pushed like 100 feet and falling all over tourists.

Oh yes! This wave pool is the best that I've ever been in! It was so awesome.

As for the master blaster...It's about time! It's been forever since the've gotten anything. It's a great water park though and a really cool slide like this will fit in great.

I would've went further into the pool, but let's just say I'm not the greatest swimmer out there...

Has there been an official announcement yet, or did I totally miss it? If they've already started construction they should just announce it and get people pumped for next year.

I'm 90% sure there hasn't been but someone will have to back me up on that one.

As of now just pieces of the slide and some supports are up. The only informationt hat I can get of it comes from Screamscape so you are just informed as I am about it.
