Smile Worlds of Fun B&M of 2006!

Yeah, I know some people will try and blow this off. Well I understand, but the rumors for the Inverted are really strong right now. Not just people on the streets but people who are involved with the park.

That's why WoF is building the Village for 2005. Kind of like having the carriage before getting the horse. I don't expect this to get a lot of talk now, but believe me on this. This rumor is SO STRONG that this will be official and on the construction forum by July next summer. So here it is.

Here's the link to the site about the village. http://www.worldsoffun.com/about_wof...spx?news_id=76

I know there's no Physical proof yet. But it's such a STRONG RUMOR and plus everyone knows WOF is due for an Inverted anyways to replace the beloved Orient Express. We aren't getting the Village(RV campground) for no reason. CF has big plans for us in KC. Also I predict Chiefs will be Superbowl Champs when this opens too

Oh the village ok. Sort of like a new area so the coaster can go there next year instead of just in the middle of knowhere. I though spinning dragons took place of Orient Express.

I don't think this is too unbelievable. After all, practically all CF parks have inverted coasters, why not WOF? Not like he said they were getting a 500 footer.

Like I said earlier, I don't expect people to believe this. And it's not me, almost all the local ethusist in KC know about the Inverted. And try to use a little common sense and put 2 and 2 together. Why else would they be putting a RV and Cottage resort in?

so guests have a place to stay? I dunno, that's just my best guess for a campground...

Will this be a clone? Give rumors about this coaster. Just saying it's an invert doesnt mean anything.

Yeah but when an Inverted is built. It will draw major attendence from around. So they'll need a place to accommondate all those people who want to stay close without going to a hotel-motel. Think if Disney never had the resorts but still had the major attendence. Don't you think there would be some issues with the guests. CP has the resort thing for the same reason, so it can hold more guest close to the park.

An invert really isn't a huge "bring tons of people to the park" type ride, every park is getting them now, it's not a huge thing unless it's a record breaker. Cedar Point has all the resorts and hotels because: 1)it's in a prime spot for people from Canada, and alot of other States in that area, and 2)it has tons of crowd pleasers and record breakers to keep people a few days. Disney has all the hotels and resorts because 1)there is no way in hell you can do all Disney in one day and 2)It's perfect for family vacations, there's alot more to do at Disney/Florida.

KC is different though. We don't any B&M's the closest is a Batman clone in St. Louis. So getting an Inverted B&M here in KC will be good. It will probably be a bigger hit for us than say Silver Bullet because alot of people in California go to Magic Mountain and are surrounded by lots of Crazy fun rides that we don't have in our area. When Mamba opened in 1998 WOF had near record attendence. Hypercoasters are also becoming more common now too.
The rumor about the Inverted coaster was it was going to be Custom layout and huge. Not Huge like Hyper just big in Inverted standards. I'm not lying about this, I have no reason to lie. I'm not the sneaky lying type person. Seriously evryone will see when WOF actually announces it. That's the only reason really of why it should be a rumor.

BTW the village was intended to be for both WoF and Oceans of Fun. People who stay will be within walking distance from both parks. That's another reason why people would come to the village. The thing is a big Inverted coaster would make the park crowded so people who come to the park may need more time to take everything in. So it's easy for them to just go back to the village and go back the next day or go for a swim at Oceans if they got to everything they wanted to.

It'd be a great thing to see every CF park have at least 1 B&M before Kinzel retires. MIAdv and WOF are both properties that would get a boost from a floorless/invert. Though MIAdv has its own respective problems, drainage I think it is, WOF does seem like a likely candidate for the next B&M. Nothing promising has gone into there since they deficated the place by removing Zambezi Zinger. It's about time WOF gets put back on the map.

I definenitly could see WoF getting an inverted or floorless coaster. Especially because of CF choice to use B&M again for 2 major attractions this year. All i can say is that I hope this rumor turns out true.

Is the village just an RV/camping site or does it have a hotel part to it?

I would want an Inverted. There always good. A big one like Alpenguist you mean?

Actually, there is also Wildfire at Silver Dollar City in Branson.

I would expect something about the size of Raptor or Silver Bullet if and when they get one; not the same layout, but something along those lines.

I was disappointed when I head WOF had taken out both Zambezi Zinger and Orient Express, as those were great rides, I thought. An invert would be a good addition to WOF.

Oops how could I forget abot Wild Fire. Still those are long ways from WOF locally. ALot of people in our area are always like "When is WoF gonna get that Batman ride?"

Yeah I'd say something along the lines of height like Silver Bullet but probably a larger and steeper drop as it will most likely occupy the Orient Express lot. And anyone who's been to WoF knows it's like a huge crater pit. Or they'll turn that pit into a lake like Silver Bullet. I just hope it's themed well because the OE lot sits right next in clear view to the parking entrance and it's almost a WOF presentation.

I have the feeling that CF will see if Dorney's Hydra gets more attention, or KBF's Silver Bullet. And by attention, I mean coaster and park ratings. They do care about that type of stuff sometimes.

EDIT: Also, if they never sell Orient Express, I think that it'd be cool to construct the two interlocking loops at the entrance to the park, just as a statue.

The Orient Express has been melted down now for some time if you mean if they still have the loops intact? Even then the deconstruction was pretty ugly.

It doesn't matter if two inverts are near each other. As long as they are different, people will like them. Look at Dueling Dragons and Montu. People don't compare them, they like 'em both.

WOW, I really hope this coaster is big like you say, it would be stupid if it was some little B&M crappy coaster (well none of B&M's coasters are crappy) But I hope it isnt a batman clone! that will make me sad! :'(

^^^I don't think it will be a B:TR clone. This is CF we are talking about. When they put Silver Bullet into Knott's, they could have saved a lot more space by putting in a coaster with a smaller and more compact footprint, but wisely opted to do a huge, spread out coaster; I think that whatever you see at WOF when it does come will be pretty good sized.

I know after seeing how good your guy's Inverted is, I can only wonder what WOF will be like. Talon was really impressive looking when it opened. Now SB, then Hydra. Plus WOF has far more availible land to use than Knott's did. They could do wonders with our proposed 06 ride. Makes me pretty excited that WOF will actually soon get that major ride since Mamba in 98.

A custom rocket would be good for wof, they haven't got a coaster in a little and its time to give them a treat, I think we are seeing cf going from park to park giving them major new attractions, first kbf getting all it got in 04 and 05, then dorney getting hydra and the screaming swing in 2005..maybe we will see wof and valleyfair getting attractions next year.

A rocket would be good, But at this point I'd just want an Inverted atleast first.Everyone around the KC area has been wanting one at WOF for some time now. I'm pretty sure by July at the latest we'll now about WOF's coaster of 2006 as CF lately has been announcing their coasters at their parks earlier. THat way ppl don't look at it being constructed and wondered what the heck it is.
