No, its probably just like all of the Deja Vu postcards at the park that don't have photos of the trains moving through the track like every other postcard does (have an action shot). Every other ride, even SUF and BTR (both of which have identical sisters) were filmed in the park, so I dunno...

That's funny: Wes and Joe had posts of the same webpage. It was true Deja-Vu.
Does SFOG even have Deja-Vu merchandise remaining? I don't want it but does it even sell I wonder. Check to see if the prices have been slashed. I still wouldn't want it: it could end up as a bad luck charm if I wore it to SFGADV.

I wonder if a Deja Vu troubleshooting engineer enjoyed the parameters he had to work with, loathed it, or just liked to smoke up and worked on it casually later?

Well of course Deja Vu is still down.

I noticed something and maybe it's been brought up before...

Why is it that the lift motor is only HALF WAY up the tower?

Seems to me that from a gravity/momentum perspective it would make more sense for the motor to be at the top of the tower.

Does anyone else see what I'm saying? It seems to me that having the motor half way down the tower would cause a lot more strain on the motor IMO.

But I'm not an engineer, just a thought.

AWESOME!!! Can't wait to get back to SFOG. I've kinda given up on the Vu until ya'll updated. Exciting!

Maybe that's the idea. Make a ride more exciting by creating ridiculous down time. Ha! Just kidding.

Of course 2 weeks after I'm down there.

Hopefully it will be running on Season Passholder day.

Sunday, Mother's Day

My quick trip out to SFOG, and guess what was open! Heck yeah! I waited in line for just under an hour for DejaVu, and it only broke down once in between unloading a train and reloading it. Mechanics were there in a flash, and they just ran an empty train once, and we were back in business. Loading times were actually good, compared to other times I've waited in line for it. Got an outside seat. This is my favorite ride at SFOG, probably.

I still don't see why they assign people's seats, other than the FastLane line Anybody know?

Maybe t save all the time they can get to load? I mean, its already God-awful and pain-stakingly slow.

Deja Vu was down May 15th. It tested just fine, but closed because it was raining. It has been running very well, over the last 3 weeks. I think Sunday was a freak occurence, as it ran very very well the day before. Believe it or not, prior to Sunday it ran for 6 days in a row without any major incedent

That's good to hear that they are finally getting it back on it's feet.

I'm hoping that it holds out until Season Pass day 05

BTW, do you guys that are season pass holders normally get anything in the mail about it? Or other events at the park.

This is my first year ever buying a SFOG Season pass.

^I've never gotten anything at all. Not this year, not last year. It won't be open for Season Pass Holders' Day, it hasn't been open on the last day of operation (be it Season Pass or otherwise) since 2001.

2001:Open
2002:Stalled in Butterfly turn
2003:Sitting in station/partially disassembled
2004:Not on track
2005:?

Yep, I went on Saturday the 14th for a few hours. Went straight to DejaVu, and the line was out the entrance. In 2.5 hours, it only got stuck twice. I was amazed at how well it was doing, and how the line crept at a steady pace.

The train always catches going up the second (upward-facing) tower, and stops...sits for a while. Then is VERY slowly lowered to what I would call a "brake run," but probably not that at all. They make the announcement that it will be temporarily delayed, but encourage us to stay in line. The mechanics come out, wave the magic wand, and up the second tower the thing goes again. It finishes out the course backwards, and all is fine. Sometimes they'll let an empty train run, but other times they just load the next train up with people.

This happened 2 Saturdays in a row. Same thing. But I'm just glad it's open. Definitely the coolest coaster experience at SFOG.

Went to SFOG Monday the 23rd, and Friday the 27th. It was operating VERY smoothly both days. Line moves excruciatingly slow, but that the nature of the ride. Way to go SFOG for fixing the coolest ride at the park! Woo-hoo!
