Hello everyone I was watching the news the other day and there is a new park build being talked about in Ga just north of Atlanta I was wondering if any one has heard any thing about it the new said it's a secret about who the sponsors are if any one knows anything please tell us a little about it.

It is not Steamboat City... Steamboat City is south of Atlanta, south of Savannah.

The only thing I could find remotely related in the AJC was that Stone Mt. is looking to hire 500 new people this summer...

^It's not in Social Circle, that's a small town off I-20 on exit 93 or so. The park will be near Madison, which is on exit 115 or so off I-20. Madison is in Morgan County, which is a 15 minute drive from my house. The proposed park is called MythFaire, but it will not feature any rides. It will instead be an interactive experience where you dress up in ancient costumes and do role-playing stuff like DD. I think it sounds lamer since they aren't including rides, but at least it's something to do. From central Atlanta, this park would be 50 mins. to 1 hour away, depending on traffic, etc.


Edit: Btw, Social Circle isn't a part of Conyers, it's about 15 miles away.

oh my god! I cannot believe you mentioned this...at work tonight, I was discussing SFOG, (as usual) with a fellow server, when our bartender stepped in and said, you know they are moving SFOG up north to a place called Social Circle. I laughed it off, but I guess this is what she meant.

Which is a rumor that seems to be going around and is laughable, as you can attest to.
