Lake winnie - doing somthing???

Ok so today at lake winnie I noticed somthing from atop constenoga. across the back parking lot (the one by the Cannonball) I noticed a bulldozer and a dumptruck. also I noticed some trees have been cleared, not many but a good half a acre and a lot of dirt. Now the strange part is the location, behinhind the parking lot next to the turnaround to the cannonball. I dont know what they are doing but it is obvious they are doing somthing. I dont know why they would put a ride over there since its across the parking lot but my girlfriend thinks if they extend the parking lot there they could easily add somthing to the front, therefore not loosing any parking space. I have no clue but I would like to find out. Also there were no markings but while riding the cannonball I noticed wrapped up bags of concrete on the ground behind the turnaround next to ALOT of trash, shipping palets etc.

Interesting.

Sounds to me like a storage building or something. It wouldn't make sense to walk all the way over there for a ride when there is nothing beside Cannon Ball after the train tracks.

Koasterkid14...The log flume from MSAP is going to Wild Adventures in Valdosta, GA. MSAP's Space Shot went to Dixie Landin'/Blue Bayou.

My guess is a parking lot expansion. A dump truck that brought the pile of dirt that is there, and a bulldozer to spread it around or whatever. Or they just could be turning that parking lot into PAVEMENT since it is only dirt.

Its probably just cleaning up the trash and stuff that was located below and around the turn around. I remember seeing lots of junk and stuff in that area. Otherwise not a clue as its been a year or so since I visited.

When did you shoot the photo BOBFUNLAND? Looks like new paint on the Cannon Ball.

I took the photo on Saturday, and yes, it looked like CannonBall had recieved a new lick of paint, as did a few other rides in the park.

Come to think of it, the Cannon Ball does look good. Lake Winnie has always done a good job I think on keeping up with pain on that roller coaster. I know older parks don't always take care of their older wooden coasters when it comes to paint.
