Custom B&M Floorless for Six Flags New Orleans!

Well. While reading the lastest ''Rumors and Reports section'' on www.coaster-net.com, the last rumor at the butten says that Six Flags New Orleans may be getting a custom B&M Floorless next year, that will be build must in the lake.
I think that it is very posible, now that it is rumored that SFI has bought 3 B&M coasters for next year, and we already know that SFOG will be geting a Hyper, and SFMM will be getting at Flyer, so the last coaster may be the floorless for SFNO. Lets hope it't ture. I really hope it's ture, 'caurse it sound like it will be awesome!
It's a coaster to hold an eye for.

I'll quote from the site:

'Six Flags New Orleans' next coaster project will be a Bolliger and Mabillard floorless coaster. It will be built over water at least partly, with a custom layout. The theme and name are unknown at this time.'

That sounds like something the park could use. A custom layout to interact with the lake? Sounds like one rumor we should keep an eye on, but knowing Six Flags has spent a lot of money in 2003 to upgrade the park to Six Flags standards with many new rides, maybe a new extreme coaster could come in a few more years, just not so soon.

Well, thats it for this weeks rumors update. Enjoy the site and dont forget to nominate people for the GOLDEN LOOP AWARDS. Drop by the Golden Loop Forum today and keep sending in the rumors at rumorsreports@coaster-net.com!

Dosn't this belong in Rumors? And anyway, I don't see Six Flags putting that much money into one of there new smaller parks.

Unless you have construction photos, this does belong in rumors....

Why not? It would draw alot more peeps to the park, and the park needs more rides, 'caurse the park has not got any new rides since it opened, so i think it is ture. But yets us wait and see.

Oh, yeah. I also through so, but i put it here in the 2006 construction tread. But I'll move it now...

The park could very possibly get a floorlees, but I think it's more likely to be a B:TDK clone then a custom.

The thread has been moved to rumors because that's all it is right now. Hopefully sometime in the future we'll hear some press releases to confirm this!

I wouldn't complain about a btdk clone as it is a very good coaster ...

Dark Kinght was pretty good, the only problem was that it was too short

Is it? Have you been on it? Can you say for fact it is good?
I have been on BDK many many times and well.. I dont think its that great. Its rougher then most B&Ms its very short...not to forcefull. And just not very good. Also GP at sfne dont like it. On any day in the park the SLC is more likely to have a longer line...

SLC - Hour + line.......
BDK - 20mins or less...

One reason for that, I think is becasue of much higher People per hour capacity. They take less time to load and hold almost twice the people per train.

And B&M's are more reliable too.

It's not a fair argument to say that this will be a flop because BDK is rough. If it's brand new, then it will be smooth. Plus, I'm sure the GP will like it.

While a BDK clone sounds like something possible, I can't see it fitting into the spot where the floorless is rumored to go. There's a lot of room there, but I believe the layout would have to be custom to fit it in. I believe something with a parallel brake run and lift like Superman at WBMW Madrid would fit in the spot. In order to fit in a BDK clone I think they'd have to do a fair share of path building and swamp reclamation.
