S&S New Coaster

I was reviewing some Info from IAAPA and I remember reading about a new coaster that was sold by S&S that is to be unveiled this year:

"S&S Power, Inc., has sold a new coaster that will debut in 2005. The park hasn’t been officially announced yet, but Schilke says the non-looping ride will feature the first new S&S coaster train. “It also will have negative Gs on all the floater hills, and it’s got some freaky little spots where you’re floating while you’re banked over more than 90 degrees, so it should feel different than a standard hypercoaster,” he discloses"

You can read the whole article here.

Hmmmm, I wonder where this will be going???

Interesting, I would have thought construction would have already started, unless its really small. I would say its going into a park thats open year-round in the south.

I'm pretty sure that it's Powder Keg at Silver Dollar City...

And if you saw the date for the article it says that it is from july 2004, so it think that it must be Powder Keg, as we would have known more about it now, i think.

Well its says some spots where banking is over 90 degrees. Does PowderKeg have banking like that?

These are the turns, I believe. And yes, the coaster talked about in that 2004 article is Powder Keg.

Ha, it called Riptide a floorless coaster!

Anyways, yeah, I don't know what that could be. A cancelled ride perhaps. Powder Keg is not a hypercoaster.

If this ride is indeed Powder Keg then the article is old...Why are we still talking about it?

This is what they are talking about http://www.rcdb.com/ig1903.htm?picture=15.

It's a pretty cool experience and feeling. Its not that weird though, its like a bunny hill that goes straight into an overbanked turn with just a 90* turn around.
