| Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom
In the past ten years, the longest sfkk has gone without building a coaster is 3 years, and 2006 would be 3 since their last coaster. Does anyone think the kingdom might actually get something good next year? 1994 - Roller Skater 1995 - T2 1996 - Hellavator ???? 1997 - Chang 1998 - Twisted Twins 1999 - Penguins Blizzard River 2000 - Road Runner Express 2001 - Skycoaster 2002 - Slingshot and chaos 2003 - Greezed Lightnin 2004 - Stargate Movie Ride 2005 - Tornado 2006 - ????? they have been adding something every year, and I have heard rumors that the slingshot, chaos and the drag racers by thunder run have all been removed for future attractions. By looking at whats been installed in the past, it does seem there will be something for 2006. I hope its a coaster.

I think we would have all ready seen at least markings, if not footers by now, if there was going to be a coaster. Six Flags might surprise us and replace every Chaos with a new flat though.

I'd like to see a new coaster for SFKK, that would be incentive for me to stop there on my way to ride Voyage at Holiday World!!!

I was thinking SFA's chaos location would make a nice spot for a standard Huss frisbee.

I was hoping for a frisbee as well where our Chaos is, but there is not nearly enough room. They will probably just expand the Bay in that direction. Last year, we lost Quake and Slingshot. This year we are losing Chaos, probably Top Eliminator Dragsters, and maybe Turbo Bungy (except like every park has one so I doubt they'll take it out). That's a loss of 4-5 rides in two years, and so far all we have is a Tornado. That's not even a ride. I think if anything, we will get two new flats next year, with a new coaster in '07.

What kind of flats are you thinking of? I believe SFOG just lost a Starship type of ride, and I could see that going where Top-E is, but Top-E takes up a significant amount of space, so I don't know what else they would do to that area over there.

I think they demolished the starship from SFOG. Someone might know for sure but i believe it was trashed.

I'm thinking a frisbee and top spin. Also a certain full-time indicated in Gurnee that he loved the Rockin' Tug and would do what he could to get us one of those. But I suppose that's a kiddie ride and not a flat. Also, I don't know if this is considered a flat or not, but Bridwell mentioned that those who know mentioned putting a half-pipe (a la Elitch Gardens) where Top E is now because the dimensions worked.

Half-pipe? Really? That would be so awesome. I'm not certain who Bridwell is, but if we got an Intamin half-pipe coaster/flat, it would be sweet. We need an Intamin coaster. Almost every other SF park has an Intamin coaster, but all we got from Intamin is Hellevator and Flying Dutchmen.

If we get lucky, i would really prefer something from Intamin. It doesn't have to be huge, since SFKK has a height limit though i am not sure what it is. The Skycoaster is the tallest thing in the park, and its 180 feet tall. Personally, they should just use the skycoaster as a support for a new coaster, since its a stupid pay ride and takes up a ton of space. A 200 foot rocket from Intamin with a bunch of air time hills that wraps around the park would be a nice addition. I would also take a nice twisted wooden coaster similar to Thunderhead, it could be put back in the field behind T2.

The way I see it: The Legend > Thunder Run > The Raven The Raven was bland. I love Thunder, but Legend's length is what got me there.

^^ (2 posts up) Exactly how I felt. Well I didn't get to ride TR, but I've been on both Hurler's which are almost exact mirrors of TR. Raven was very underwhelming. After all this hype for the past 5 years I was very let down. Legend on the other hand blew me away. That helix alone is insane and I've never been on a woody that had an ejector hill like that one where I just knew I was going to fly out of the train!

TR definitely beats the pants off the Hurler twins. As I always say, it's the hidden gem of the South.
