New Ride @ Sea World SD

I dont know if anyone's heard about this yet, if you're from San Diego you probably have... Sea World here in SD is in the process of trying to get permits from the city to build a 95-foot water-splashdown roller coaster. A lot of people are opposed to it right now, but it sounds like a "Journey to Atlantis" style ride may be in the works for Sea World SD.

JTA is a hit in Orlando.

Don't know why the people would be against it. The ride will face the park, so the screams won't be heard outside. The roller coaster drop is inside a tunnel, and most people don't scream that loud on the final splash down.

JTA rules, it's my #1 log flume ride.

Sea World SD needs a coaster. I would love to see a Kraken clone.

I would too, but i dont think that's coming... yet. SW is becoming more and more about rides lately. In 1997 they added the Wild Arctic motion simulator, in 2000 they added the rapids ride (sorry, i dont know the name), and now they're getting a JTA ride. Maybe by 2004 we'll finally have a great steel coaster in SD county.

Sea World should built a water ride like Perilous Plunge. That would be awesome!

Too bad it's not a log flume. It's a water coaster.
