I have found every SLC I've ridden to be rough as hell. But not this one, it was fun at GL. So hopefully it will stay smoothish at MIA. I was hoping it would come with a flat and a path and a restaurant back there though.

If ThunderHawk was to go and occupy that lot they would loss a nice amount of land for a hyper in the future years.

KI,KD & CWL have all seen attendance increases as well in the years prior to the CF purchase....I don't think MIA would see a hyper in the future though for the same reason that GL never saw one because, like GL MIA doesn't have the market share to cover the ROI of such an expensive ride addition.

Now for a park MIA's size Thunderhawk will certainly draw the crowds, given the fact that to Michigan residents it's a novelty....something never seen in that state before.I remember back when ME debutted at SFA,then known simply as Adventure world & they advertised the heck outta the ride that year & the public flocked to it & 12 years later still do.

They have only announced ThunderHawk and have not their off season stuff yet. Their will probally be another announcement later in the year with more facts such as new foods, games, restraunts, paths, and prices.

^I doubt it.

Any new infrastructure, such as buildings, restaraunts or pathing additions are typically not announced along with major rides. They leave that stuff up to the guests to find on the park maps when they arrive for their first visit of the season.

Maybe to folks in the UP (upper peninsula for you non-Michiganders), but in southeastern Michigan, and I'm sure a majority of the rest of Michigan, visits CP regularly, so we've all seen WT and Raptor.

Thats why in the release they said that it is a 2 seat version of Raptor. Also in the news article it states
Quote:
Riders will be seated in pairs in open seats that will be suspended below the track. Each rider will be secured with an over-the-shoulder harness and interlocking safety belt. A train will accommodate 20 riders. Riders must be between 52- and 80-inches tall to ride Thunderhawk. The ride was designed and manufactured by Vekoma International B.V., Vlodrop, The Netherlands.
So as you can see, their will not be new trains.

My wife seen tubular track going to Michigan's Adventure today. The truck was on US 31 and turning off onto Russel Rd.

The track was yellow, so we are starting to see signs of the new coaster already.

I stopped there tonight on the way home, but could not find the track, my guess it's back somewhere by Grand Rapids.

Isn't TH's track orange? I heard on GLT that someone spotted track en route to MIA as well so why is it nobody has spotted any Dominator track being shipped out yet?

How does that quote prove that these aren't new trains? It just says that they are 2 seat-across and have seat belts. TH could have new trains.

I doubt there will be new trains. They have to be trying to pinch their pennies last year, i dont think they would spend that much more money to get new trains. I might be wrong though.

New trains would be nice. It would create a better ride experaince. The better the ride, the more people will talk about, the more that talk, the more that ride. The better the ride reviews would make more people want to ride which would make more people come, which causes more money to be made.
