Michigan's Adventure 2008

I know theirs a lot of topics on MIA, but what do you guys think they will get in 2008? MIA is the only park that hasent seen a coaster, and it is much needed. I have heard rumors about a B&M invert, Invertigo, SLC, Frissbe, Huss drop tower, S&S combo tower, and a Morgan Hyper. So as I asked before what do you think they will get?

First off, due to a pet peeve of mine, I must state that the park is called Michigan's Adventure. It is one adventure, with no s on the end. Even the park's own employees call it the wrong name. Sheesh! Read people! lol

I really don't think that park needs a 7th coaster. Everyone keeps saying they want MA to get a new one but that park is not that large. They need to build more flats in the area back by Grand Rapids, and complete the loop around the lake with midway. I can maybe see a coaster in the next three or four years, but they should be in no rush to get one right now.

They could build a path all the way around from Shivering Timbers to Grand Rapids, with 2 small flats and a coaster simular to Talon. They could get bathrooms ( which are needed by grand rapids ) and stalls back behind W.Wildcat. Then a few years after that they could spend very little to pay for the big 08 improvements.

I think they need a coaster like Timberline Twister at Knott's Berry Farm. That coaster looks sweet. So does Tony Hawk's Big Spin at SF:STL and SF:FT. Perfect size for MIA.

Michigan's Adventure is not big enough to invest in a B&M. What they need is a Eurofighter. One that would be on the path connecting the 2 parts of the park behind the Wolverine Wildcat. A frontier trail type theme would be extremely cool back there.

WOF isnt really that much bigger, and they got a B&M invert. MIA doesnt have to get a B&M, they could get a Invertigo. Theirs always SLC's. Vekoma redid their cars and i heard their a lot smoother. It doesnt even necessarly have to be a coster I would be just as happy with a Huss drop tower. http://www.hussrides.com/51ClassicShotDrop.htm

Um, yes, WoF is a lot bigger, in terms of money. MIA simply does not have the cash to get a huge coaster in the coming seasons. I would not be surprised if they got Thunderhawk from GL sometime soon.

Ya, WoF is in Kansas City. MIA is in...Muskegon? 3 hours from Detroit. Detroit is closer to Cedar Point. And In South Bend and Grand Rapids people all go to CP as well. No one even has heard of MIA down here. I have been there. I like it alot because of Timbers and the REALLY good waterpark they have with Funnel of Fear and all.

Bottom Line:They need a big attraction that is new and creative. Not a cheap SLC, Invertigo,or Morgan hyper(They don't build those anymore although Steel Force is awesome). They should wait a few years. Add a restaurant one year. Then the next add swings or MAYBE a drop tower or something. Then wait off a year with just cleaning and paint jobs. Then in 2011, Install something like a Frisbee AND one of the Big Spin mouses. Or a B&M by itself. It would be a large waste of money to but an SLC or Invertigo.

Well they did just add Coasters last year. Are they short on dining options?

I know they added Coasters last year but they need a restaurant over by Grand Rapids on the "Mackinac Trail", what screamscape rumored the new trail to be called.

Hey Timbers, I just noticed this (in the thread title) - "Adventure" is not plural in "Michigan's Adventure."

Michigan's Rollercoast is better check it out. I had a good idea, since MIA isnt the biggest park they could get HyperSonic from KD. They could also get a SLC or a Invertigo! I think that would be the best choice.

I seams that MI adventure has a lot of room to expand. I think back to my youth when CP was about the same size and look at what CP has grown into. When I do, I wonder if MIA in 30 yeaqrs will be as nice as CP.

I would love to see MIA get another great coaster, but agree with Zingoman that some expansion of different themed areas is in order.

I'm surprised no one has said they were going to take another coaster out of Geauga Lake to send to MiAdv, like Head Spin...but I'd rather not see that happen anytime soon.

If they got a huge thrill ride like that I would be really happy. Or a S&S Launch Tower like at Valleyfair and Knott's Berry Farm.

MIA is a great little park. I'd enjoy any new addition as I'd like to see it become better.

I'm pretty sure the most likely attraction is a S&S Screamin' Swing.
