I checked out the Nantimi site and found that funky email thing too, although I hadn't emailed it yet. Even if the site is a fake, which I'm beginning to think it is, with all you guys have found out, someone is actively updating it. But who? My bf said they are taking Chute out apart, but whether to move or get rid of, he hasn't heard for sure. He gets different answers from different people.

Just to clear this up, but the Great Bear Constellation does not only contain 7 stars. Yes, the Big Dipper constellation we all know of contains 7 stars, but there are also several other stars that make up the Ursa Major (Great Bear) constellation. Take a look here.

So I don't really think Great Bear was named after the constellation or else it would have 18 or so elements, not 7. Hope that clears that up.

Um, the Big Dipper stars are not the only stars the make up the Great Bear constellation...As that picture shows you, there's a lot more than 7.

All I'm saying is that obviously the naming of The Great Bear has something to do with stars (the logo) or some constellation. Although i did read on wikipedia it was named for the loud noise the train makes going over the track. And we all know how reliable wikipedia is

Wow, you amaze me Dan. It blows my mind that you have that much of a hard on for me just to look for all my posts to find something to nit pick about.

And before you try giving me a hard time about something, I was going off info about the coaster. Regardless of how many stars may be in the constellation, it's obvious that the name of the coaster has to do with the constellation since the logo for the coaster has it in it.

And let me say, I'm very flattered that you're my E-stalker.

Methinks you're a planted PR rep, just like Zipkitty. Nice thread about Hershey getting the "best park outside Orlando" award, BTW.

I pretty much chilled on wanting to know the Perfect 10. Maybe she's my future wife. Otherwise we continue to wait. The suspense is now dead for me.

Maverick style ride anyone? With how popular it was, I'd be a good addition to the park and very popular.

There've been sitings of smaller versions of the banners in Midway America from what I've heard.

If Hershey is behind the Nantimi site, then they are either giving us coaster fans some clues or they are trying to throw us off. It's kind of fun waiting for new tidbits of news each day!

Maybe Maverick style without the launch, considering they already have Stormrunner. I think just an Intamin Hyper would be cool like S:ROS or Expedition G-Force. A top ten style ride.

Hyper - Now that would be deeming of respect. I'm still going to be a baby and complain about Maverick chopping my neck up for quite awhile until I can do CP to allow it to redeem itself. Would I really want to see that in a Top 10 ride? Lapbars could possibly save it.

Okay lets take a step back and look at the park for a sec.
1. They have 4 woodies.
2. They have a standard looper.
3. They have a B&M invert.
4. They have a one of a kind launch/terrain/Intamin coaster.
5. They have a roller soaker/coaster.
6. They have a mine train kind of coaster.
7. They have a boomerang coaster.
8. They have a wild mouse coaster.
(Sorry if I missed any coasters, I'm kinda tired)

They have a good lineup, and they don't have much room. I do not think they will spend their time or money on a 10 looper by Intamin. I do not think that they will get a flyer. Far too expensive, and those take up a lot of room. If they were smart, they'd put in a mini hyper. They only have one B&M coaster, and it'd be nice to have another in the lineup. Then they'd have basically one of every kind of coaster. (Basic, not flyer, spinner, etc. . . )
You guys get what I'm saying?

It couldn't get any smaller than that new Japanese Hollywood Dream B&M coaster as a hyper.

they have lots of room for future expansion. infact 18 holes of room... minus the holes that will be used for parking lots

^If you rearrange those letters they spell LIFT. Just thought I'd say that.

Don't forget about the new employee lot across the street on the old airstrip. They could remove the old one and put the coaster there and on WCO's site. I just think it would be something too big to do in one season.

The Website has added some information, see below.

Don't you think the way they explain stuff is unprofessional more like a blog.......

8.28.07
NANTIMI HIRES INTERACTIVE DESIGNER
Industry veteran Denis Tekler will join Nantimi effective immediately. Denis comes to us from the Pittsburgh based media firm of Wallace, Roberts, and Perkins, where he led the interactive team on new business development for countless national clients. Denis graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with honors and holds a masters degree in computer science from Penn State University. His insight and experience will help establish Nantimi as a leading web and new media company. Congratulations Denis!

[Project Update]
Design work continues on the Hersheypark 2008 attraction. We anticipate finalized color selection, schematics, and branding—including the name of the attraction later this week. Most of the team (sorry J.B.) spent yesterday at the park scouting new locations for the attractions, viewing blueprints and renderings, and experiencing a few rides.

^ at 12.1 million I guess that puts Intamin out as the only coaster they build that cheap (yeah 12.1 million is cheap and if any park wants to give that away please email me and I will drive to you to get it) is a prefab woody, which wouldn't be bad... A small B+M or does Vekoma still make coasters...

idk but from what i heard i think they have already closed the golf course (can anyone confirm this) what their plans are again from what ive heard on other sites is to use some of it for parking for the giant center, and they cant use the whole thing for parking so my guess is that they will expand the park probably not in the near future tho maybe in like 2010 or something

Golf course was closed last year I think...not sure if they would use that for parking as you'd have to cross a street....unless they could close the street.

I was at Hershey yesterday and noticed that one of the signs that said 10.02.07 Truth Revealed also had a sign that said "Wait Time Approximently 10 Months From this" Point in a style similar to those found in ques.
