the will get a B&M hyper @ 275' drop and 5440' long. it will follow the ridge below the train, and will have a turnaround/MCBR over/near the river rapids. They will move four of the Jackrabbit pavillions into the parking lot near the entrance to make room for the station and future expansion.

Any Takers?

Seriously, they will probably get another thrill ride if they can find the space. Huss Jump2 anybody?

I only hope. It would be nice if they brought back the Bayern Kurve back so I can ride it for my first time.

I will say this and then move this thread.

It is very early to even think about discussing anything about KW in 08. They didn't even HINT about Cosmic Chaos until December last year. They won't even make the decision until the attendance results come in in mid to late August.

Now if they add another ride, they have to take something out. There is no room at Kennywood until they do their expansion. So they have to take a ride out to put something back in.

As for the Bayern Kurve, it will be coming back, it's just a matter of time and getting it restored. Also, finding a place to put it will also come into play as to when it comes back.

I would like to see a Huss Frisbee. But I know for a fact we won't see one of those untill the expansion. They have too big of a footprint for present day KW.

^no. Just... no.

The GM doesn't like SLCs and plus I don't think KW will be seeing any loops for a long time. Plus, SLCs are too plain. KW will never put in a ride that can be found in a lot of other parks.

Actually, Kennywood was supposed to get an SLC for the 2006 season instead of SwingShot. Thank GOD that Jerome decided on the swing and not the hang and bang. I still thank him profusely every time I see him for not buying it.

In exchange for Vortex we will give you 2 tons of Potato Patch Fries and a 3 minute sound clip of Laughin' Leena.

I forget where I saw it, but I still like the idea of the B&M Dive Machine. Isn't KW a little overdue for a coaster?

If only they had more space...

Honestly, I would like some new wood put into the park. Really steel doesn't fit in there. Phantom's Revenge almost sticks out too much, but does fit the mold a little. I just think it is time to go back to tradition.

Also put the whip back in the whip house -- it looks terrible out in the sun and it is very hot in the summer.

I honestly think that the park can benefit from both a steel and a wooden coaster. Granted we won't see these until the expansion. It's so hard for a park like Kennywood to expand when it is in such a landlocked area. Granted the park has land that it acquired, however, they still have to clear that land to do anything with.

It's hard to say what the park will get for 2008. This is just my opinion, but I think they should scrap WipeOut and put the Kurve back in.

I like the Wipeout better. Also, When they do expand, how and where do they plan on getting guests to the new area.I guess they could remove a bunch of Jackrabbit pavillions and built a big midway down through there leading to the valley, but I see no othere way.

I don't think I've ever ridden the Curve.

REMOVE?!?!? HA! they could probably move them into the parking lot. It may cause some trouble, but I've rarely seen the preferred parking completly filled on a regular day. Besides, even if you park in the upper lot, it's free and you get a charilift ride.

What would be really nice is to see a better parking lot enterance/exit system. PFN causes a terrible case of gridlock, and the parking lot is a pain to get out of if you want to park close to the gate.

They will eventually be moving all of the pavilions towards one end of the park IF they expand Lost Kennywood. Nothing has been discussed other then ideas.

Last I talked to Jerome nothing new was happening.
