Wells here's my opinion of this...

NO. NO. NO.

Cedar Fair cannot allow that. ALL their parks will be ruined by Disney's obsessive scenery compulsion and turned into kid-only friendly parks! I can't imagine Cedar Point being turned into another one of Disney's scenery overrun parks and all the fun and rides ripped from it! OMG, I hope Kinzel (even if he doesn't have any power in this decision, he still has probably a very respected opinion within the company, enough of one to maybe divert a bad decision such as this one) doesn't allow this to happen! Please, anyone but Disney!

Anyways... that's my opinion of it.

This will change if Disney takes over Cedar Fair. Who even knows what will happen. Probably, no large coasters anymore. Honestly, look at the largest coaster Disney has; Rockin' Roller Coaster or California Screaming. Those two coasters are not anything special.

Seriously, think of this. Would Disney sell the largest rides in Cedar Fair parks? As Disney's attractions show; Disney thinks thrill rides are sins. As you can tell, I am not a fan of Disney. Cedar Fair parks are not anything Disney would seem interest in...so Disney, back off.

That wouldn't be that bad. Disney has FastPass! Besides, it says that it's not likely to happen.

Haha. I can imagine it now. Millennium Force Train ride. Watch the scenery of Lake Eerie go by as you speed down a steep drop at 10 MPH. As you go around the turn around, watch the Maverick express launch out of its tunnel at 15 MPH, and lastly, see the other coaster in the park woodstock express soar by at 20 MPH.

Hmm. NO!

EDIT:
I think there might be a reason why this is in a funny/amusing part of the MSN page. . .

I agree 100% with you. Disney is over obsessed with unessecary theming. Think about it, Everest is a four million dollar coaster (if that), but they spent ninty-seven/ninty-six dollars on theming. Yes, it looks great, but it is unessecary. They could have just simply put it in a building like universal, but themed the enterance wall.

Also, something to add to my comment. Disney is very overpriced! It costs a lot of money to visit one park! Disney would raise the price of all the "cedar fair" parks across the country. Disney is a very big "people-eater," which makes it to be the largest ripoff in the world.

Whoa, getting a little fast for a Disney approved coaster

Or scrap them and use the steel so they can build another Epcot sized ball (or whatever it's called) at Carowinds!

I know! CF parks are filled with RIDES not overflowing with scenery, so Disney shouldn't even be interested! I agree, Disney needs to pass this offer

Wouldn't be bad? IMO I think it would be horrible! I've been to Disney's most visited park (Magic Kingdom in Florida) and I've been to Cedar Fair's biggest park (Cedar Point) they are nothing alike. MK has three rides/coasters they've listed under thrilling (Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Moutain, and Space Mountain) and a ton of kiddie rides. CP has 17 roller coasters and a ton of thrill rides like maXair, Power Tower, and Demon Drop. If Disney bought CF the only coasters I could see staying would be: DT, Woodstock Express, Jr. Gemini, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, and if we are lucky maybe Iron Dragon. As for the FastPass if TTD, MF, Gemini, Raptor, maXair, Power Tower and all the other coasters and rides that are thrilling and fun weren't there anymore I'd have no reason to rush to ride or for that matter go to the park period.

It won't happen guys, and this story means nothing. Its just one man's thoughts on the whole thing, there isn't any info actually pointing to such a deal.

The ironic part of that is that only ONE of those rides are at least somewhat thrilling, Splash Mountain.

Thunder Mountain is slow, but enjoyable. However, I would not like to see it in a Cedar Fair park.

Space Mountain...I should probably not talk because it will get me in a horrible mood. This ride is boring and unexciting with horrible effects. That is enough to say about that, unless you want me to go into detail...

Space Mountain is a good beginner coaster but nothing more. It was my first roller coaster and I haven't ridden it since.

^^ It wasn't there when I went and I don't plan on going again unless I go with a small child (like a cousin or something) so I don't know how it is. Personally I liked BTM better than Space Mountain!

Another thing is Disney has large chunks of time between building new rides at any of their parks. Imagine Cedar Point not getting a new ride for over 8 years!

^ And that's not even major rides, it's ANY ride. Cedar Point gets something every year, at least a flat, and a coaster about every three years.

^I know! This will be horrible if it happens. Imagine Cedar Point becoming "Mickey's Penninsula" or Knotts Berry Farm becoming "Pluto's Barnyard." AHHH!

They wouldn't get Knott's, too much competition, it's less than a 20 minute drive.

^Whoa...that could be an option. The rides would most likely go to California Adventure. Which would raise the price of CA. This is not cool.

Neither Busch, nor Disney, nor Universal would ever buy them.

IDK why these idiotic rumors get started everytime a chain or park goes up for sale.

Hmm- Mickey replacing Snoopy, lame rides, $500.00 admission and death aplenty.

Lucky for us there's a better chance that I will buy Cedar Fair than Disney.

Not going to happen. I don't think even Disney is that stupid. Some provate investors will buy the chain then close half the parks right out of the bat or maybe a year later once they see where they are not makeing money.

I seriously doubt Disney is even thinking of it. They would have to spend another 5 billion just to get the parks themed like Disney.

I seriously doubt that Disney would bring themselves to such a low level. Cedar Fair parks look nothing like Disney parks. I doubt that Disney has any interest the thrill machines of Cedar Point or other Cedar Fair parks. While I'm here, Disney is seriously in better shape than the Cedar Fair chain. Cedar Fair buys off the shelf rides manufactured in Europe while Disney acutally puts creativity into their attractions. Expedition Everest at DisneyWorld or Indiana Jones: Temple of the Forbidden Eye at Disneyland are way better than anything that Cedar Fair has on the playing field. Even Universals rides whallop most of Cedar Fairs thrill garbage.
