What about a Euro Figter? If they removed Ocean Motio or relocated it, they could fit a small one in.

Ehhh. Even though GL got rid of two of their best coasters, they still aren't a "small park" really. I could see them getting a laydown coaster maybe. . . Oh wait.

This isn't saying much but on SCreamscape it said that there is a rumor that they might replace it with a Topple Tower next year.

^How is that not saying much. Tell me if I'm wrong but isn't screamscape the website that knew about Maverick 6 days before they announced it. Screamscape is kind of reliable. if screamscape didn't get the rumor about PCW getting a hyper everyone on here would be guessing everything under the sun. And Griffon and Sheikra were known about 1-2 years before they were announced. Screamscape is pretty reliable whether you think so or not.

I think so. It might also be a good spot for a Euro Fighter. It also has a small footprint and is very exciting to boot.

Actually I think the fleecing should stop at Geauga but maintenance should be held up. I actually had a better time at the very slow first day of the season at GL than the one visit I had to Dorney this year, which was a down day of certain key attractions. GL sure has more coaster fire power. The bloody ruins of the front of the park next to the state highway needs desperate repair.

If if CP did get a used coaster, which would never happen, they wouldn't get it from a park that's like an hour and a half away.

^^^ I dont think CP will ever get a EF because they just got Maverick. It has the same drop and inversions. S&S Screamin Squirrel's dont have the best capacity and look a little cheap. I could see either a top spin or scan it the stadium's place.

I could see a top spin, but not a top scan. When was one of those last added to a park?

The Current rumor is a topple tower in place of the aquatic stadium.

It's probably a dumb question but what is a topple tower?

Has the Dollywood Topple Tower reopened yet after it got stuck in June?

Why does this topic even still exist? It's basically confirmed that CP is not taking out Aquatic Stadium. Everything in this thread could be discussed in other Cedar Point threads.

Read the thread. Kinzel himself said that they are not removing Aquatic Stadium. They're taking a break from shows, and anyway, the whole thing is made of concrete. It would be too much work to destroy it.

How so? Geauga Lake tore down two of their stadiums in one offseason when they were building WWK. I doubt it would be too much work to destroy Cedar Point's Aquatic Stadium regardless of what it's made out of.

I don't think Cedar Point would take a used coaster either. Especially with the limited space they have remaining. Maybe another Cedar fair locale???

That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard seeing that it is right across from Max Air.

...you act like that means anything. A topple tower and a frisbee are two completely different rides. The only thing similar is the manufacturer, and to 99% of the general public, they won't even come close to noticing that.

The topple tower's fulcrum is at its base. Max air has it at the top. Plus in all the pictures of topple towers I've seen they spray water at the peops. Different experiences.

A topple tower would be a cool idea. Never ridden one of em, so it could be cool.

I used to enjoy the dive shows at the CP aquatic stadium, but wouldn't be too disappointed to see it removed if it meant another coaster. A topple tower seems a little weak, and I doubt it. Even if it does differ from maXair, it's just not enough. I doubt this will happen, but the scrapping of Soak City would be a dream come true in my opinion. Since that is not the most likely situation, I have been wondering if Kinzel and the Krew have considered building a coaster over the lake. Not land expansion necessarily, but concrete footers or something along that line. None of this will most likely happen, but I can't help but hope. Although alot of people doubt this, I would love CP to top Kingda Ka, at least before I die Back to the near future, I hope to see something new for 08'!

I agree, as far as water parks go Soak City is not all that good IMO. Cedar Point should focus on Cedar Point and not have Soak City in the way. If anything, they should scrap it, buy land elsewhere on the mainland and open an independent water park. Then Cedar Fair would be able to focus on solely Soak City and Cedar Point, instead of having Soak City in the way. Plus then they could make it really nice and have it compete with Schlitterbahn.

While that is a good idea, I doubt the state/city would allow it. If what I've heard is true, Hershey Park couldn't even get permits to put Great Bear's footers in the river (or whatever that is under it). Plus that would be fairly expensive to build and maintain I would think.

Cedar Point will have no land issues for a LOOONG time. Just look at Universal Orlando, they replaced the old parking lot with a parking garage and opened up loads of space for the construction of city walk and IOA.

The way I see it they still have space for more rides or can remove some attractions like the stadium or various non-coaster attractions for even more space. But even then, they have the huge main parking lot as well as the soak city lot, replace these huge flat lots with a large multilevel parking garage similar to universal orlando and they're set for a while.

^ on another site we talked about a parking garage. The payout wouldt be worth the trouble. Parking garages are expensive and have to be upkept and maintanied. Parking garages dont hold enough for the price one would cost.

Why not just build over one of their current lots? Why do we have to take something out to do it?

A topple tower isn't something I would like to see at CP, they look good but are not very fun to ride. The one at Dollywood was actually boring it didn't spin fast enough and we never really came close to anything to give that feeling of crashing. How about this for an idea? Kinzel said they were not removing the stadium but, what if they built a dive coaster in and around the current stadium? With todays computer technology it can be done and the building would give the ride some character similar to Mavericks using the old WWl building...
