| Clementon Park sold?
There's a buzz that New Jersey's small Clementon Park may be sold. We're still waiting for confirmation but that is the talk around that town and other local coaster enthusiasts like myself. They could use help regarding flats and what to do with the one of three remaining Jack Rabbit wooden coasters in the country. It's old, rather tame but it would be great to get back from SBNO status. They have, I don't doubt, at least the best wooden coaster in the State of New Jersey after El Toro, J2(formerly known as Tsunami). Awesome ride. I'll never stop talking about that woodie and how it jerks tears from you because of its intensity.

I have also heard that Clementon has been sold. I hope that the sale of this park will help it grow a little and become a little bit more reliant. It would be great if JR opened up again and J2 ran with two trains.

Plenty of rides jerk tears from me, El Toro (back), Nitro (front), Maverick, Millennium Force, and some others I can't remember.

It's the only one tearjerker for me. Ride this one. The park even had a "Tsunami is not for crybabies" shirt the first season the coaster was open as Tsunami.

I own 2 of those shirts ![]() I live down the road and was there Sunday night got about 15 rides in. The crew was great with hand slapping and got us clapping .If you go try to go late in the day and stay till closing. Also I called the park today Monday and was told the announcement of the new ownership will be made this Fall "around October November" So I guess we have to wait a little longer. Also heard that they may change the Name of the coaster, lets hope back to Tsunami. And they may extend the operating season next year. And with all the other news we already heard they may also be re profiling the 1st and 2nd hills. So get out and ride ASAP before it is changed |

THAT WOULD BE A DISASTER. I was thinking of a late August Sunday visit to this park. Definitely before NFL season starts.

| Yeah, I was there on Sunday night too! It was an awesome Clementon Park trip, no lines. My friend and I used a buy-one-get-one-free coupon and in 3 hours we got to ride J2 twelve times. It would have been 11, but we were on the last train of the night, and when we got back to the station after the ride, everyone wanted to go around again, so the operators sent us again! That was awesome. J2 is amazing at night because it is pitch black on the course, you can't see a thing! As a former employee I was impressed with the enthusiasm of the operators. And I think J2 is the best in NJ because El Toro cheats with the rubber wheels and all, it's not authentic like J2!
