If it's for 2008, then its probably only a flat, but being Cedar Point I'm sure its a supersized one ().

If its for 2009 I can't see it being a new, large, coaster that fast. They seem to get a large capital investment every 3 years, not two. Who knows with them... lol.

I don't see a new coaster coming to Cedar Point until 2010 but that's just my opinion. For 2008 and 2009, I think they will just get a couple of flats.

If I had known about this just a week earlier, I would've been looking around when I was at Cedar Point trying to get a glimpse of something although very unlikely I would've seen anything. Does anybody know where in the park that's at?

And if it is a coaster or even if ts not, whenever they get a new one that is steel, whether next year, 2009, 2010 or even later, I'd like a B&M. I love Intamin since many of my favorite coasters are from them but the reliability on them can get frustrating at times.

While I've been on Top Thrill Dragster all my visits since 2003 except one (where it worked the first day I was there but not the second), it always has some problems even if they are minor. During my four days at CP last week, it ran much of the time when weather permitted but was still experience downtime a few times that I know of. Also Maverick had some issues one of the days and was serious enough that it seemed it wouldn't open again for the day but finally did after at least an hour of it being down. We waited since it was the end of the night and rode most everything else and still had two more days at the park anyways.

Wicked Twister ran fine the one time we went to ride and anytime I noticed, it seemed to be running good but I know it's also had it's issues as most if not all of the impulse coaster have. Again, I love all these rides but I do like the usual reliability of a B&M. They're almost never down and when they do go down, they're usually back up in a few minutes. I rarely go to any park and see them not running.

I'd just wouldn't want to see another coaster that has constant problems it's first couple years and even after, still has issues from time to time. It's obviously upsetting to customers and I don't mean just enthusiasts. Waiting an hour or two just for a coaster to break down isn't going to make anyone happy. The night we waited for Maverick at the end of the night when it closed for some problem, people lef the line and they weren't happy. It was late enough that they probably wouldn't be able to make it to another ride so their day was essiantally over. If they were there for just a day or tourists who only come to the park every so often, they left unhappy and some were outright pissed I could tell from their comments and demeanor.

For that reason any new coaster or ride for that matter should hopefully be very reliable. So either a B&M or I'd hope for a new woodie from those makers of Hades and Voyage.

I doubt we'll be seeing a new coaster at the point until 2009 or 2010 at the earliest. I am guessing it's most likely a flat, if even that. There's always that hope for the MSBF

^^I've heard in plenty of threads that a water ride of some sort is planned. IMO, A place like CP needs quite a few rides to cool off, especially when you have to pay extra admission for the water park!
