Question Next Record Breaker?

Does anybody here have an idea as to where the next tallest/fastest coaster is gonna be? Im sure its just gonna be another rocket coaster thats just 10 feet taller and 5 mph faster than Kingda Ka.

-Also, someone told me on a SFGAM forum that Kingda Ka was originally going to be placed at SFOT, but it could'nt because it was in the way of D/FW airport. Is that true?

Possible, but I doubt it. I'm not entirely sure where SFOT is in relation to the airport, but I'm pretty sure 456 feet isn't enough to interrupt air traffic until the distance is less than a few miles.

But yes, you're probably right; the next record breaker will be another "clone". Hopefully it'll have at least something different...
But we can always hope that another company has something up their sleeves, like say, a launched BMer?

Me personally, I just don't see another record breaker on speed and height coming out anytime soon. Keep in mind that although a lot of problems are fixed, TTD and KK are not perfected roller coasters yet. The technology simply isn't there yet. The launch cable wear and tear being the biggest problem with both coasters. Name a park willing to spend the $25 million on a height and speed breaking ride that isn't as reliable as say a 230 ft Hyper that rarely has any downtime and is a lot cheaper? There will be another record breaker on this, but I just highly doubt within the next 10 years. As far as KK going to SFOT, that could of been true, who knows. If my memory serves me correctly, the airport is not that close to the amusement park. But then again Hartfield-Atlanta is a huge distance from SFOG and they have height restrictions too. But I'm sure the height wasn't the only problem. Keep in mind that although SFOT is their original park, SFGAdv is their most profitable, then SFMM. That could of played a part in which park got the ride too.

There aren't any new record breakers in the works, and this has been talked to death.

Unless the mods feel differently...click.
