Hersheypark 2009

I heard there will be an announcement "for something much cooler" July 1st for Hersheypark. It must be a Boardwalk expansion for the park. Will it displace the Wild Mouse? I also heard Rodeo may be in its last year of operation. It's a ride that turns and then tilts to add to the turning effect. The fun ride was already out of SFGADV for about 5 years now.

Cooler kind of suggests water attraction, maybe something like what DW got this year as it looks like a cool concept...

A wave pool would be pretty awesome.I don't think removing the Wild Mouse is out of the question.

Its an older style, it would be easy enough to just move it.

If it doesn't move within the park it could always end up at Dutch Wonderland, not far away.

I rode the Canyon River Rapids yesterday, the Intamin River Rapids that was slated to close yesterday. It had a generally snaking layout, lowering in general height throughout the course to a drenching waterfall section where heavy water fell on you. I think it was a good Intamin ride and it's a shame it'll have to go now for this lazy river and wave pool.

They're going to have to take the dirt from the gradual incline up through Canyon River Rapids' layout and dump it somewhere when they begin this conversion to the lazy river and wave pool. I'll take above ground tunnels for a new ride
