Ok. Thought i'd start one. I would not expect much for KD in 09 after Dominator.

There is a rumor that KD will recieve 3 old flat rides from Geauga Lake. Looks like CF is starting to find homes for their rides instead of trashing them.

New or old KD fans and the GP should be really happy if they get 3 flats.

The three flats I heard were going to be where Hypersonic XLC was.

The stuff that wasn't up for auction...I.E. Headspin, Americana, Spider etc etc were going to be put up in other parks before the auction was decided.

I have already heard that KD was going to get Head Spin, but that must be a rumor or something like that. ;-)

I heard the Wheel and Rainbow-bastard are going to KD.. Odd.

I dont really care if they get anything. I dont feel parks "need" to add something EVERY year. KD just got a good coaster, they can take a year off..

I was kinda hoping Carowinds would get the Ferris wheel, since we've never had one but oh well.

In fact, I'd take that over the boomer any day. lol

But it will be a credit (not for me) though. Depending on what they do with saturator (which is where the boomer is going) this will be #13 or #12 (again)

KD needs flats, so I'm happy they are getting these, if indeed they are. They can't all fit in Hypersonic's former area though, I don't think. Can we say clutter?

They might if they are infact crammed in there. I still cant believe KD put a small flat between Volcano & FoF. It just looks so out of place there.

With XLC gone they could open that area up a tad more to maybe fit all 3 flats. I wonder how big all 3 are. Anyone got any pictures of GL's flats?

According to this blog (News Plus Notes), Kings Dominion will be getting Geauga Lake's El Dorado (magic carpet), Black Squid (spider), and Americana (Ferris wheel). All three will occupy HyperSonic's former space. I'm certainly glad to see that Kings Dominion will replace the land left vacant by their old coaster so quickly and I'm sure that these 3 flats will have a much greater capacity than HyperSonic did.

Hope they don't cut down any more trees around Grizzly for this. Although, in my opinion, that spot will always be an eyesore as long as Xtreme Skyflier is still there.

^ It may be an eyesore, but it probably makes the park a lot of money.

I could see it going to MIAdv.. Just because of pure lack of rides.

...and the fact they will need something "new" for next year.

MIA really needs an S&S tower ride.
